Season 3. Episode 2. We all have OPINIONS. Let's learn to get along.

Season 3. Episode 2. We all have OPINIONS. Let's learn to get along. We live in a society that is cruel to those with opposing opinions. Let's all agree to disagree and learn to tolerate and respect those who come from different walks of life. Let's love on one another. Let's learn to listen, without interjecting our opinions. Let's focus on asking questions and learning where our friends are coming from, and how they arrived with their strong beliefs. We can create a society that accepts one another with just one open conversation at a time.

Season 2. Episode 18. Loneliness in a time of Social Distancing with Aaron Cobb.

Season 2. Episode 18. Loneliness in a time of Social Distancing with Aaron Cobb. A couple weeks ago we sat down with Sarah's oldest son, Aaron. He had just reported on Loneliness for a scholarship essay and we found the topic to be intriguing. How blessed we were to sit down and listen to some of the facts about loneliness in our world where technological interaction is accessible with the touch of a button.  Just as we were about to hit the upload button on this episode, COVID-19 reared its ugly head and with it came Social Distancing. Wow. So we thoughtfully added a post recording of loneliness in this age of social isolation and how it is affecting our society and our families. We can't wait to hear your own personal thoughts and experiences during such a time as this.

Season 2. Episode 14. Fear is a Liar.

Season 2. Episode 14. Fear is a Liar. What is your greatest fear? Does is control you? Does it interfere with the woman, or the man, that you were made to be? Are you paralyzed by this fear? Sarah and I have fears. Perhaps, the greatest thing we have in common as a human race is FEAR; you know, the things we cannot control, but we wish we could. This notion that Fear is a Liar is a fact. Fear is a monster, that cripples us from enjoying our lives. It rears it's ugly head in the worst of times. But did you know.....The opposite of Fear is Love? In this episode we dive in to what the Bible says about fear and how we can prepare to overcome our greatest fears. We love hearing from our listeners. Tell us your fears and what you have tried to do to get over them.

Season 2. Episode 13. Interview with Dr. Caroline (Carly) Brady. Emergency Room Doctor in Malawi, Africa.

Season 2. Episode 13. Interview with Dr. Caroline (Carly) Brady. Emergency Room Doctor in Malawi, Africa. MountainMovers Podcast had the pleasure of talking mission work with Carly Brady. Carly is a graduate of medicine from Marshall University, in the great state of West Virginia, with a passion for medicine and a heart for people. Her and her husband, Zack, just finished up their first year in Malawi, which is in Africa. Carly knew from a young age that God was calling her to become a physician. A physician that would be using her skills in other countries where medicine was not as advanced. Her husband, Zack is with Young Life www.younglife.org , which is an international organization with a mission to introduce adolescents to Jesus and pursues helping them grow in their faith. Together they are embracing the African culture and using their skills and talents for Christ. Of course, with anything in life, there are challenges that require us to adapt and rest in the assurance that God has us where He wants us. The future Carly hasn't been informed of what the future holds, but she knows she and her family are in His will. We cannot wait for you to listen to their journey so far! We love hearing from our listeners. Tell us your favorite part of this episode.

Season 2. Episode 11: I May Not Be Your Cup of Tea.

Season 2. Episode 11: I May Not Be Your Cup of Tea. You may be too loud for some or too soft spoken for others. You may come off arrogant or rude or a hot mess express. But the truth is we are all very different. We will be one person's favorite flavor of tea and not close to preferred by another. And that's OK!!! We believe that it's so important to explore all the flavors of tea. Be kind. Love on others. Don't be consumed by what someone might be thinking of you. Be thoughtful and always try to check yourself. Am I doing the right thing? Was I wrong for expressing those thoughts? Did I impose? It's ok to value what others think of you and it's ok to want to be liked. But we must always look first, towards God, because His opinion of us is truly the only one that matters!

Season 2. Episode 9. Veteran's Day talk with Liz Giertz.

Season 2. Episode 9. Veteran's Day talk with Liz Giertz.   Veterans Day (originally known as Armistice Day) is a federal holiday in the United States observed annually on November 11, for honoring military veterans, that is, persons who have served in the United States Armed Forces (and were discharged under conditions other than dishonorable)[1].[2] It coincides with other holidays including Armistice Day and Remembrance Day which are celebrated in other countries that mark the anniversary of the end of World War I. Major hostilities of World War I were formally ended at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918, when the Armistice with Germany went into effect. At the urging of major U.S. veteran organizations, Armistice Day was renamed Veterans Day in 1954. Veterans Day is distinct from Memorial Day, a U.S. public holiday in May. Veterans Day celebrates the service of all U.S. military veterans, while Memorial Day honors those who have died while in military service.[3] There is another military holiday, Armed Forces Day, a minor U.S. remembrance that also occurs in May, which honors those currently serving in the U.S. military.

Season 2. Episode 5. Forgiveness.

Season 2. Episode 5. Forgiveness. Forgiveness is NOT easy. It's letting go of a darkness you hold inside your heart for someone else. It's a process and a healing that takes time. It's psychological and emotional and spiritual. It can put you in a bad place. But FORGIVENESS is essential to heal the bitterness from the inside out. Think about all the times when you let thoughts of ill will for another person just fester inside. The whirlwind of thoughts you can never let go of. It just plays in your mind on REPEAT. It's unhealthy. It robs you of JOY. But the instant you say those three simple words "I forgive you" it begins to heal your heart and your soul. We should never deny the power of forgiveness. It will set you FREE.
