Episode in
The New LoFi Mixtape
We’ve got a little something different for you this month. It’s a Mixtape takeover.
We just launched a new radio show on the website called Fizzy Legs Radio where record label boss, Jason Smith takes you through some deep cuts. Jason has always had a fascinating ear for music … he’s always uncovering interesting new artists and the way he connects and curates a wide range of music… it’s great.
So I thought for this month I’d do a Fizzy Legs Radio takeover of the mixtape. The mixtape plays the Febraury episode in full (stream it below). Also check out his other episodes from the the series: Fizzy Legs Radio Mar 2026, Fizzy Legs Radio Jan 2026. And if you like what you hear, head over to the Fizzy Legs Mixcloud page for more.
But for now, enjoy Fizzy Legs Feb in full below.

October 2025 Mixtape
Episode in
The New LoFi Mixtape
This month we are going to get into some underground techno and indie house. We have new music from Gilligan Moss, Swimming Paul, Barry Can’t Swim, The Blaze, Mindchatter, Yuksek, A/S/L and even a couple tracks using some retro samples, including one that samples Nelly Furtado’s track, “say it right” and another that samples Kool & The Gang’s track, “Celebration.”
This month’s mixtape feels like a night that starts on a rooftop at sunset and somehow ends in a sweaty 3 AM warehouse, before emerging from the club in the early hours to catch the sunset. The mix opens with the glistening optimism of Gilligan Moss and Lemonade Baby, then dips into silky pop nostalgia with that sly Tiffy Vera remix of “Say It Right” by Nelly Furtado.
By the midpoint, Swimming Paul and Mindchatter steer things into darker, more melancholic territory—perfect for the 2 AM head-nodders—only to let Yuksek and MELVV crack the blinds open with glimmers of sunrise. The back half pushes deeper into peak-time techno — Thomas Schumacher’s double-hit of “Umbra” and “Ex Machina” is down and dirty techno at it’s best. But we offer up a soft-landing into the euphoric hug of Barry Can’t Swim and the cinematic close of The Blaze live at the Royal Albert Hall.
It’s a journey mix—equal parts rooftop champagne pop, underground sweatbox, and sunrise catharsis—the kind of set that reminds you why you fell in love with late-night dance culture in the first place.

December 2024 Mixtape
Episode in
The New LoFi Mixtape
This month we’re featuring new music from Barry Can’t Swim, Sholto, The Offline, Lewis OfMan, KIDSØ, The Sorcerers, Theatre of Delays, 3030, Phree Direxion, TVLI, Arky Waters, Skallee & Wagz, A/S/L, and many more.
As you can probably tell from that list of artist, this month we’ve got a full range of genres represented — from indie, funk, soul to house, disco and ambient electronic.
Shout out to some of the new musicians being featured on the blog for the first time including (the new grammy-nominated musician and producer Tali (aka TVLI). We’ve featured his new track “Tempest” on the mix, which sees him returning to his piano roots on this fantastic ambient electronic overture.
We also want to welcome Tim Laws and DJ Toney White (aka Skallee & Wagz) onto this mixtape, with their infection disco house sound. The British dance music duo stormed onto the scene with their hit single “Office Chick” in 2017 and have been spreading the good vibes across the dancefloor ever since. We’ve featured their brand new single, “What You Try’na Do” on the mix this month for a little bit of a disco dance punch in the face (in a good way).
We’ve also got a few fantastic Afro-house tracks on the mix this month from producers like Imbuwa, 3030 and African music collective: Bantwanas. The 3030 track we feature is a Curol remix that mixes African and Brazilian sounds into the beat. Curol is one of the most prominent voices in Brazilian Afro-house and is known for her authentic sound that combines Brazilian percussion with powerful grooves. There is also a track entitled “Johera” (by an Australian producer called Arky Waters) that crafts in that tropical Afro-beat sound. “Johera” blends breakbeat electronica with swelling techno influences.
