This podcast was created during a podcasting workshop, sponsored and curated by The Newport Festivals Foundation. Coming in, the group of students was confused as to the meaning of jazz and the culture that surrounds it. By the end of the workshop, the students had heard from three guests in the jazz space. This podcast was led by 8th and 9th-grade students from Middletown and Newport RI, with the help of Chris Funk and Maia Macdonald.
