Julianna Carella -- Phytocannabinoid infused products for dogs

Episode in The Pet Lady
Julianna Carella_ https://www.treatibles.com/_ Julianna’s foray into the pet world happened organically. Creating phytocannabinoid infused products for dogs, cats, horses and other critters was born from her first company, Auntie Dolores, which since 2008 has been providing delicious, healthy and effective gourmet medical marijuana and phytocannabinoid edibles for people. Customers of the company began asking Julianna about giving these products to their pets, who were suffering from many of the same conditions as their people – anxiety, inflammation, joint issues, digestive disorders, cancer, seizures, and more. Understanding that tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the psychoactive compound found in cannabis can be harmful to our animal friends, Julianna worked tirelessly to develop safe and effective products for pets. See Julianna in action on TV on "The List": http://www.thelisttv.com/the-list/3-ways-cannabis-treats-give-dogs-a-helping-paw Here is Julianna on The Pet Show with Dr. Katy on ABC news in DC: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ph8zfcvekvdfnin/Dr.Katy-veterinarian.mov?dl=0 The Marijuana Chemical That Chills Anxious Dogs Out Cannabidiol-infused treats are taking a bite out of the $3.2 billion pet-wellness market. https://www.fastcompany.com/3051215/the-marijuana-chemical-that-chills-anxious-dogs-out

Remy Bibaud -- Pet Perennials

Episode in The Pet Lady
Pet Perennials Remember your pets in a personal and beautiful way Remy Bibaud has been a serial entrepreneur for most of her career. After selling a business servicing charter schools throughout the US, Remy's desire to give back took over (she has been involved with Make-A-Wish for 20 years). Remy's young dog Olive had passed, and when she received the ashes she’d wondered, "Is this it? Is this all I can do to honor such a beautiful soul?" A seed was planted and Pet Perennials literally grew from there. She and her business partner Lori Davidson launched Cherished Ones LLC with a mission of helping folks heal from loss with compassionate, creative and convenient products that are also eco-friendly.

Jody Rosengarten - The Bark Stops Here!!

Episode in The Pet Lady
The Bark Stops Here!! I have been a Dog Trainer Behaviorist since 1980 and am the owner/operator of The Bark Stops Here, a multifaceted practice specializing in problem solving and the rehabilitation of rescued dogs. In addition to several house calls daily, I work with animal rescue groups and am on the staff of the Southport Veterinary Center in Fairfield, CT, where I see clients, teach group classes and facilitate Dog Days Workshops. What sets my work apart, I’m told, is that I empathize with dogs and people equally. This enables me to help each better understand the other and craft compassionate compromises that endure. Clients commonly call me “intuitive” or a dog “psychic.” Though I don’t promote myself as such for fear of sounding too “woo woo,” my hunches, backed by science and experience, usually prove true. My first book, Rover, Don’t Roll Over: A Compassionate Training Guide for Dogs and Their People was published in 2004 by Ten Speed Press and was on the cover of their marketing catalog. My brand new book, Imp, The ImPerfect Pup: Lessons On Being Good Enough was just released and is on Amazon.com. I have written for a number of periodicals, including a cover story for Greenwich Magazine. I completed a two-year stint on a phone-in radio show answering questions on dog training and behavior for WICC in Bridgeport, CT. One of these days I’ll finish writing Watch The Feet, a novel about a feisty dog trainer.

Dr. Vargas - From another continent we gain a compassionate healer.

Episode in The Pet Lady
From another continent we gain a compassionate healer. Dr. Vargas took three years to become licensed in the U.S., but he was a single guy with the luxury of being able to take chances and make independent decisions, and he soon heard of a full-scale professional dairy farm in Myakka City… a small agricultural town east of Sarasota, Florida … looking for an on-site veterinarian. It was a natural fit and within six month of his employment there, he was promoted to head of the entire operation. By 2005 Dr. Vargas was working in southwest Florida clinics, primarily in Sarasota and Bradenton. Then in 2006 he hit on the idea of filling a need in this state known primarily for its appeal to retirees: in a time when most veterinarians were cutting their hours and availability and turning night and weekend calls over to veterinary emergency clinics, Dr. Vargas went in the opposite direction and established a mobile clinic that would treat pets in their homes and livestock on ranches and farms, seven days a week, 24 hours a day. It couldn’t have been more appropriate, particularly in these areas:
