Well, it's been a minute since we've posted a new episode. And the one we are finally posting today was a bit of a surprise. But, as always, we want to be led by His presence and sometimes that means posting content that wasn't previously planned. While this topic may not have been planned, with every episode it is our hope and prayer that you catch a greater glimpse of God’s heart. And today we are specifically hoping you catch a glimpse of God's heart for Israel. While there is never a shortage of changing opinions and controversies when it comes to the nation of Israel, God's heart for this land and people has never changed. In today’s episode, Cindy shares from a chapter in her book, The Key to His Heart, that addresses this topic specifically. James said to "Count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces [patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing." Perfect? Complete? Lacking nothing? Are those things even possible? The Bible says they are but they are obtained through developing something we don't tend to like very much ... patience. What does it mean to let patience have its perfect work in you? Could it be that some of the things we consider delays, aren't just happening to us, but they are actually happening for us? You belong. You really, really do. Even if you don't feel like you do. Even if you've struggled to find your place. You are an integral and essential part of God's plan. You reveal a unique facet of His face and a unique piece of His heart. Without you, we are incomplete.  That's what this week's episode is about—the burning of belonging. So often the Body of Christ has focused only on those who fit within the confines of what a particular church or denomination believes faithfulness should look like. While we don't ever want to oppose truth or violate the integrity God's Word, how God's Word is applied in our individual lives can and should look very  different. Our gifts, personalities, and perspectives should look very different. We are one Body with many members.  This episode speaks most specifically to those loosely termed "creatives and contemplatives"—those who have been disproportionately misunderstood and, often, misjudged, by the larger Body of Christ. But we are living in a time where that is finally changing. It's time for the whole Body to arise and shine--and burn brightly for the glory of our King! Click here for the full text of The Arising, a Call to Creatives and Contemplatives.  We're also trying something new this week—a teaser at the front end of the episode. Still working out the technology but let us know what you think! We are also working on tweaking our intro and outtro so stay tuned. "Knowing You, Jesus, knowing You. There is no greater thing ..." As I sat down to summarized this episode, immediately the words of this old-ish song by Graham Kendrick came to mind: "You're my all, You're the best, You're my joy, my righteousness. And I love You, Lord ... "Now my heart's desire is to know You more. To be found in You, and be known as Yours." That about sums it up. I have no greater desire. There is nothing I value more. And THAT is what this week's episode is all about—in both the devotional content being shared, and in the return to the heart of the presence driven life. Really, it is a reminder of why this podcast exists in the first place.
