The PS Factor

In a day when “strength in numbers” seems to be the cry of just about every special interest group, it can be difficult to find someone who truly understands exactly what you’re going through. The childhood fear of abandonment can be immobilizing. And it’s most certainly one of those fears that have followed many well into adulthood. Often, disagreeing with the popular majority can leave you standing alone. Yet the fact is you were created to stand alone, independent of any other person in thought, desire and purpose of action. The ability to overcome obstacles is a God given gift.  Consider the odds of being conceived in your mother’s womb; well over a million to one but you didn’t know it. When the odds seem overwhelming, remember no revolution has ever begun with the masses. Life’s revolution must begin within you.  So whatever your calling, be it fight neighborhood crime, eradicate drugs, educate teen mothers or stop gang violence; know this, you are all that’s needed to stand for what you believe in. Life has dealt to each of us a different hand. The key to making your dreams come true is to remove those self-imposed barriers that are stopping you from unleashing your greatness.  Thoughts of being too old, too short, not having enough money or enough education, are nothing more than thoughts.  These thoughts are given power by the action you place behind them.  In this episode I lay the foundation for future discussions on how you can raise the level of your PS Factor - your consciousness awareness of your natural, God-given ability to attract success in any given situation. 1 Thessalonians 4:11-12 reads, "and to make it your ambition to lead a quiet life: You should mind your own business and work with your hands, just as we told you, so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody." And there you have it.  You should make it your number one goal to lead a quiet life by minding your business and working with your hands.  The result will be that you will be respected and not dependent on anybody.  Do this, and those dreams and seemingly lofty goals will become much easier to reach.
