The Reggae Revolution Gospel Show
The Reggae Revolution Gospel Show is an inspired creative impulse given to Joshua Perkins from God to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ to every Nation -Jesus said unto the disciples Mark 16:15 (KJV)15 And he said unto them, 'Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.rnrnGospel Reggae is a genre of music that originated in Jamaica mixing Reggae rhythms with Christianity themed lyrics.rnrnI grew up listening to reggae music, I was born in Raetihi New Zealand. My father Carl Perkins from the well known NZ reggae band House of Shem sowed the seed of love for reggae music into me at a very young age growing up seeing my father performing and writing music inspired me to become a musician also. Throughout my life as a drummer I have had the privilege of being part of various bands just to name a few, House of Shem and Foundation. I am currently working on a Gospel Reggae project with good friend and Christian reggae artist Dave Levi. rnThe beginning of my spiritual journey was when I became a born again Christian in august 2012 I was baptised in the name of Jesus and received the gift of the Holy Ghost Acts 2:38(KJV)38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptised every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. rnGod convicted my heart to turn away from the world of secular reggae music and He introduced Gospel Christian reggae into my life.rnrnI'd like to thank my very good friend and brother in Christ Allen Mounsey who has been a great help from the beginning of my Christian walk, teaching Bible studies and Endtimes to me and my partner Christina. Allen's support has been abundant and much needed over the last few years and also in the making of this show; rnBig ups! to Mark Mohr from the Gospel reggae band Christafari for his generosity and support also with The Reggae Revolution Gospel Show thank you brother Mark! rnBut above all the Glory goes to the Lord Almighty without Him this wouldn't be possible.
