Our theme this year is the Fruit of the Spirit. What is it and how do we cultivate and grow it? This month we’ll take a closer look at the Fruit of Love. We’ll discover why it is central to the Christian life, what true agape love really is, and how we can live it out. In this message, we"ll look at Ephesians (Chapter 5) and discover what it means for husbands to lay down their lives for their wives. We’ll see how God’s Word calls husbands to love sacrificially, lead faithfully, and be instruments of His sanctifying grace in their wives’ lives. This also includes every part of their marriage. In this part of our Ephesians series titled, we will look at four steps in the beauty of submitting. In these verses, the Apostle Paul encourages wives to submit to their husbands as the head of their marriages. He also refers to the Church submitting to Christ as an example. When both husband and wife respond to the melody of Christ's love for them, they are then free to dance in God's covenant care in marriage. In Ephesians 5:17–21, Paul calls us to walk wisely in a foolish world. we aren’t to do this by numbing ourselves with substitutes, but by being filled with the Spirit. We’re excited to kickoff our year and our theme of “Courageous Leadership” (Lessons from Nehemiah). God has placed a burden on the pastor’s hearts to help men grow as leaders in our homes and church. Our year will be full of examples of leadership from Nehemiah’s life. He not only organized and encouraged people (and artfully handled all opposition), but his greatest achievement may have been his loving leadership. Let’s become the men God has called us to be — fully committed to Him, His Word, and His Mission.

Life is short. The days we live in are filled with challenges and distractions. But God calls us to wake up, walk wisely, and make every moment count. This timely message from Ephesians 5:11–16 will help us discover how to expose darkness, live in God’s light, and redeem the time for what matters most. As our Ladies’ Nights kickoff, we’ll take a closer look at our theme this year, The Fruit of the Spirit. It’s foundational that we realize this Fruit (and its growth) is a direct result of having Jesus in our lives. He makes the Fruit grow and helps us be more like Him along the way. In Ephesians 5:1-2, Paul calls us to imitate God by walking in love, just as Christ loved us and gave Himself for us. In this message, we'll unpack what it means to live like Jesus. We’ll look at following His example, forgiving as we’ve been forgiven, and laying down our lives in sacrificial love for others.
