Old man noises, awesome rigs and many spoilers. Adam's been watching Riverdale, Justin has been watching Santa Calrita Diet, they've both seen The OA, and there will be many spoilers. Good Wife and Brooklyn 99 also get a mention. Justin has seen Split (more spoilers, like huge ones) and Adam is still very angry at M. Night Shyamalamadingdong for the glacial pace of Unbreakable (of which there are many more spoilers but it's an old movie, so suck it up crybaby). Some discussion about Doctor Strange and Justin did not love Civll War when he saw it again. Adam has read a book, Justin is trying to get out of the echo chamber. Hunt for the Wilderpeople, What We Do in the Shadows, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (the trailer, not the movie) and the excerable DC movies. Final Season pass tickets for The Shelf season XIV on sale now. 

This is a massive 2 hour end of year wrap up podcast. Justin and Adam will spoil everything. Including that show with the robots that was on just this week. Mostly they're going to talk about how much they hated Suicide Squad. Favourite films, books, comics, tv shows and other malarkey from 2016. Look, it's two hours, the less time you spend reading this, the more time you'll have to listen.

Adam feels like he's been in an abusive relationship with Melbourne, and is chased out of town by Paste-Pot Pete. Night and nighter. Sax careers. Justin's new record. Adam has been watching TV from the nineties, Frasier and Star Trek, and Justin has been watching cartoons, Bojack Horseman and Rick & Morty. Adam has been reading Invincible, while Justin is still loving Tom King, especially his run on Batman. Some deep love for Grant Morrison's Doom Patrol. Six degrees of Hot Gossip. Justin was disappointed by the movie Sully, which somehow becomes a new version of The Love Boat, and then descends into talking about comedians on boats.

The mics keep cutting out on this one. Some repairs have been attempted, but it’s a bit annoying. Adam’s been to Melbourne to do a different podcast and Justin has gone full hipster. Adam is reading Saga (spoilerific) including talk of Y: The Last Man and Ex Machina. Adam has been watching Brain Dead, Justin watched Interstellar on his new TV, and Adam has to guess which scenes he’s watching (spoilwah). Does the Batman V Superman extended cut improve things (spoilerish)? More Affleck V Bale, Justin has seen The BFG, which causes some odd discussion of what constitutes a movie tanking, Rake and Cleverman are still impressing Justin, and there is much talk about the final episodes for Game of Thrones (spoilery spoily spoil spoil).

Another drive to the airport, the morning after the end of Season XIII of The Shelf live show. Justin has finally watched a couple of episodes of The Flash TV show, and enthusiasm abounds, despite missing the Wally West Flash, and as a result Adam tries to convince Justin to watch Arrow. Justin loves the new Wonder Woman Earth One by Grant Morrison & Yannick Pacquette, and Adam has really enjoyed the Harley Quinn & the Suicide Squad April Fool’s Day Special by Rob Williams, Jim Lee and Sean Galloway. Justin is disappointed in Grayson, but he’s really into the new Vision, which is all to do with writer Tom King. He’s also excited about the Miles Morales Spider-Man meeting Ms Marvel, and the pregnant Spider-Woman book. Justin has a goopy eye, Bieber fury and ignorance, panelling radio shows, Batman V Superman (multiple spoilers alert, although the whole film is a spoiler for all films, ever), Deadpool’s opening credits, Daredevil episode 3 (casting spoiler), Jessica Jones (sex scene spoilers), Adam is scared the Doctor Strange movie is going to be a steaming number two, Justin previews the new live-action/CGI Jungle Book.    The Shelf Season XIII is sold out online. The Shelf Podcast Rises. Justin V Adam: Dawn of Bullshit. The first podcast in nearly a year, featuring tasty Adelaide snacks, gym advice, Justin’s new found love for Harry Styles and rekindled love for Neve Campbell, hanging out with Alfie Allen, making tapes of compilation LPs, breaking an embargo and so many movies, TV shows and comic books, including (of course) Doctor Who, Sherlock, Power Man & Iron Fist, The Notebook, Batman V Superman, Cannon, The Rockford Files, Mighty Isis, Unfollow, 2000AD, Judge Dredd, Avengers, and more. Spoiler alerts for House of Cards Season 3 and Daredevil Season 2.  

The last of the Comedy Festival live recordings with Justin and Adam. Justin is feeling a lot better and imagines the porn he would make. Adam is on the verge of quitting comedy, like alcohol, he's done so much. Adam explains blossoming, which is distressing on a number of levels. Justin has had enough of oversharers, and Adam cuts sick on clean comedy. Adam does the worst mime of all time, and then falls into a Rob Schneider fury hole. If you're playing along at home, Adam is up to Episode 4 of Daredevil and Justin is up to Episode 7. Justin gets excited about the muscles on Harrison Ford's face. Justin and Adam during the Comedy Festival again. Justin interrogates the audience. Imperial Comedy producer Angela Thompson delivers coffee. Adam manages to draw a line between Mad Men, Grey's Anatomy and The Good Wife. Justin reveals he used to be able to recite the whole of Mad Max. He's also charging $128 for his shows next year. Justin is unwell and a bit croaky, and Adam is putrid. Another of the live Shelf Podcasts recorded during the Comedy Festival at the Imperial Hotel. Some very outdated references, including Justin having just seen Jake Gyllenhaal in Nightcrawler, and Adam being excited about the trailer for Daredevil. Lots of dirty gay talk (Adam has mistaken it for the Poofcast, it seems), steaming open Gwyneth Paltrow's envelope, Adam's infamous pressed hams in the office, Justin getting in trouble at a radio station, cabs skidding on banana skins, watching TV when it's not good anymore and Donnie Wahlberg. Recorded LIVE during the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, with special guest Josh Earl, host of the hilarious panel podcast Don't You Know Who I Am? Lots of fun with old mate JEarl, talking rubbish about playing basketball, henna tattoos, Justin's Blood and Toner show, hijinks on roadshow, disfiguring accidents, and the last time Adam and Jearl went to the Logies (possibly ever). There are visual gags that will make no sense, and references to things that happened months ago, when it was recorded. Just go with it. The Shelf is back for Season XII in August. An indiscrete story about Wil Anderson and a poof, Tegan dropping the C-Bomb, James Bond, bus toilets, Hey No Dad, Justin's watch, Tegan touching celebrities, Jeremy Renner gawking at J.Lo, faceboob, 90s shows making a comeback and <insert joke here>.
