We have our sights set on a post-COVID world and the outlook for Travel Healthcare is continuing to evolve. We’re seeing changing atmospheres and landscapes with hospitals across the country and travelers, both local and true traveler, are experiencing a constant shift in pay, opportunities, and demand. Here are a few of the things we cover in this episode: The outlook for Travel Healthcare in 2023We’re seeing a lot of tech incorporated into how nurses are engaging with job opportunities. Essentially, we’re seeing more “self-service” style hiring scenarios. Plus, there are over 200,000 job openings for nurses across the country. Closing this gap is the key. Will tech replace agencies and recruiters?The simple answer? It’s hard to say yes — at least indefinitely. We still need to reduce the friction in how nurses get hired. Reducing the friction in nurses getting hired is still the focus. Agencies have to evolve with the current paradigm — and it all comes down to serving the traveler first and foremost. Thinking of starting a Travel Healthcare career?One of the best things to do in setting up yourself up for a great career as a traveler is cross-training into different specialties. If you're considering taking the next steps in Travel Nursing, there are a few things you should ask yourself. The time may be right for a career change, but your approach matters in how you map out your career, which agency you work with, and what a recruiter should be doing for you. All of these are practical steps, but the most important and personal aspect of jumping into a career as a traveler is aligning your goals. Are you looking for new experience and specialties? Want to see new places? Higher pay? Make sure you can match your goals (at least parts of your goals) to the outset of your travel nursing career journey.
