KS 426 - Legacy In Motion
Send us a text
Legacy doesn’t wait for retirement; it starts with the next choice you make today. We open up about a book that grabbed our attention—The Legacy Life by David Green and Bill High—and why it shifted how we read Scripture, build businesses, and raise families. From the marketplace to the kitchen table, we unpack why legacy is motion, why it isn’t about you, and how a spiritual foundation turns wealth and work into tools for service rather than trophies.
If this resonates, share it with one person who comes to mind and tell them you’re thinking about their legacy. Then subscribe, leave a review, and let us know the first habit you’ll start this week.

KS 425 - Work With, Not For: The Divine Partnership
Send us a text
The difference between working "for" God versus working "with" God might seem subtle, but it represents a revolutionary shift for marketplace Christians. Are you experiencing burnout, frustration, and diminishing returns despite your best efforts? The problem might not be your work ethic but your fundamental approach.
Drawing from Proverbs 22:29 and the example of Bezalel in Exodus 31, Tyler shares how God values skilled craftsmanship combined with spiritual partnership. Through vulnerable stories from his college track career, Tyler illustrates how shifting from relentless self-effort to rhythmic partnership with God transformed both his athletic performance and academic success. This wasn't about working less—it was about working differently, with boundaries, intentionality, and trust.
The divine partnership model offers a refreshing alternative to the exhausting cycle of striving that plagues so many professionals. When we invite Holy Spirit into our daily work, release control of outcomes, establish sustainable rhythms, and reframe our definition of success, we experience what Jesus promised in Matthew 11:28-30—an easy yoke and a light burden. The highest form of faith, Tyler suggests, isn't found in feverish activity but in restful trust that God is working through our competency.
Whether you're an entrepreneur, sales professional, or employee seeking greater impact, this message offers practical strategies for moving from frustration to flow. The greatest testament to your faith might not be how hard you work, but how peacefully you partner. Ready to stop apologizing and start winning? Share this episode with one person who needs this message today.

KS 424 - Hope Is Not a Strategy: Family Planning for Christians
Send us a text
What's the missing element in your family legacy plan? Most successful entrepreneurs wouldn't dream of running a business without a strategic plan, yet we often leave our most important organization—our families—to operate without clear direction or purpose.
The reason God chose Abraham reveals the answer. Genesis 18:19 tells us God selected Abraham specifically because "he will direct his children and his household after him to keep the way of the Lord." This divine endorsement of family planning serves as our foundation for creating lasting legacies that extend beyond financial success.
A comprehensive family plan consists of several critical components. Start with a vision statement—a concise declaration of what your family stands for (mine is "Passion for Jesus, compassion for people"). Develop a mission statement outlining how you'll live that vision daily. Identify core values that define your family character—these become the filters through which you make decisions. Finally, create a family constitution establishing rules for handling conflicts, money, responsibilities, and time.
Implementing this framework requires intentional family gatherings where everyone contributes to the conversation about what you collectively value. Document these discussions and revisit them regularly during family meetings. As Habakkuk 2:2 instructs, "Write the vision down, make it plain." My family has begun this journey by exploring what the McCart family should be known for—loyalty, family unity, generosity, and Spirit-led decision-making.
The benefits are transformative: unity during challenges, clear decision-making frameworks, stronger identity in your children, and effective transfer of both wealth and values to future generations. Don't leave your family's legacy to chance. Start crafting your family vision today, and discover how this intentionality becomes the foundation for generational impact.
Have you started developing your family plan? Share this episode with someone who needs to hear this message, and let me know how these principles are transforming your approach to family leadership.

KS 423 - Your children deserve both spiritual and financial inheritance.
Send us a text
What if everything you've been taught about legacy is only half the story?
Most Christians compartmentalize legacy into two separate silos: the spiritual (faith, salvation, values) and the material (money, property, inheritance). But Scripture paints a more integrated picture—one where resources and revelation work together to create lasting impact.
Tyler McCart challenges the false dichotomy between spiritual and financial inheritance, using Abraham as the biblical model who both "commanded his children to keep the ways of the Lord" and was "blessed with flocks, herds, silver, gold, and servants." This holistic approach to legacy requires intentional action, not accidental happenstance.
Through personal examples like his family's Sunday evening prayer and planning time, Tyler demonstrates how spiritual practices can naturally incorporate financial wisdom. He shares how he recently involved his children in understanding a business decision, explaining both the financial reasoning and the spiritual discernment that guided it. These intentional touchpoints create a framework where values and resources strengthen each other.
"If you leave money without values, it's just entitlement and waste. If you leave values without resources, your children struggle," Tyler explains. The biblical pattern shows that God intends for marketplace Christians to excel in both areas, passing down a comprehensive legacy that equips future generations to advance God's Kingdom.
Whether you're just beginning to think about legacy or looking to strengthen what you've already built, this episode provides practical steps to integrate faith and finances in your family planning. The call to action? Find one spiritual practice you can implement this week as the foundation of your holistic legacy.

KS 422 - The Paradox of Kingdom Success: Why Chasing Results Sabotages Your Blessings
Send us a text
Have you ever noticed how frantically chasing success often leads to frustration, while faithfulness seems to attract blessings effortlessly? This paradox forms the heart of our exploration in this thought-provoking episode.
Drawing from Proverbs 28:20, we unpack a powerful truth that's easily overlooked in our achievement-oriented culture: "Faithfulness to God can't help but produce increase, but increase can't be the goal or it's out of order." This divine principle challenges the way many of us approach our work, businesses, and ministry efforts. When we invert God's order by making results our primary focus, we create pressure that ultimately sabotages the very success we seek.
Through practical insights and biblical wisdom, we examine how faithfulness functions as the root from which all increase grows. Whether you're building a business, developing a ministry, or advancing in your career, you'll discover why the highest form of faith isn't striving harder—it's resting confidently in your faithfulness to God's principles while trusting Him with the outcomes. As Proverbs reminds us, "The horse is made ready for battle, but victory comes from the Lord."
This message will transform your understanding of Kingdom success by showing you how to release the pressure of performance without sacrificing excellence. The blessings that flow from faithfulness aren't meant to be idols we pursue but tools that advance God's purposes through our lives. Ready to experience the freedom that comes from putting faithfulness first? This episode might be exactly what you need to hear right now.
If this message resonates with you, consider whether someone in your circle needs this perspective too. Sometimes the most loving thing we can do is share wisdom that's impacted us. And if you're looking to strengthen your own faithfulness, start with consistent time in God's Word and prayer—it's the foundation from which all other blessings flow.

KS 421 - Crafting Your Family Constitution: The Blueprint for Generational Legacy
Send us a text
Do you meticulously plan your business strategy but wing it when it comes to your family's future? You're not alone. In this powerful episode, Tyler McCart shares a wake-up call for marketplace Christians about the glaring disconnect between how we approach business planning versus family planning.
Tyler recounts a story from speaker Randy Pope who, at a business conference, challenged executives on this very contradiction. These leaders unanimously agreed they would never invest in a venture without a comprehensive plan, yet when asked about their life and family plans, the room fell silent. This revelation becomes the springboard for Tyler's passionate call to create family constitutions—frameworks that unite spiritual values with financial legacy.
Drawing from biblical principles and personal experience, Tyler explores how a family constitution serves as the North Star for generational wealth transfer that honors God. He outlines practical steps for defining family values, creating a shared vision, and establishing governance structures that can preserve both spiritual heritage and financial resources across multiple generations. Just as Moses documented Israel's stories in the Torah, Tyler encourages families to document their values and formative stories to guide future generations.
This isn't about controlling your children's paths, but rather establishing a structure that can help pass along generational values and wealth for three generations or more. Tyler references the Rockefeller family's seven-generation success as an example of what's possible with intentional planning.
Ready to stop compartmentalizing your faith and finances? Connect with Tyler about family banking and legacy planning through the contact information in the show notes. Whether you're just starting your personal life plan or ready to create a comprehensive family constitution, this episode provides the blueprint for building a legacy that matters.

KS 420 - Your Family Is Your First Ministry: How to Build a Nation That Lasts
Send us a text
Your calling as a Marketplace Christian extends far beyond professional success—it encompasses creating a lasting family legacy that influences generations. Drawing from Jeremiah 29:5-7, Tyler McCart unpacks the biblical mandate to "build houses, plant gardens, take wives, and have sons and daughters" as a strategic blueprint for kingdom expansion.
The concept of "starting your own nation" begins with establishing roots. When you own property, build businesses, and create stability, you're positioning yourself for greater kingdom impact. But the heart of this mandate centers on family formation. As Tyler points out, "God specifically chose Abraham because 'he will direct his children and his household after him to keep the ways of the Lord.'" Your commitment to raising godly children isn't just a personal family matter—it's a divine appointment to extend God's kingdom through generations.
Perhaps most provocatively, Tyler challenges the modern reluctance toward family formation with biblical perspective: "Grandchildren are a crown to grandparents." He shares practical advice for preparing your children to make wise marriage choices, emphasizing that "next to following Christ, the choice of a mate is the most important decision your children will make." Rather than leaving this to chance, Tyler advocates intentional coaching on character traits and relationship development.
The blueprint expands beyond family walls to community engagement. Like Mordecai, Joseph, and Daniel who influenced pagan governments from within, you're called to "seek the welfare of the city" where you're planted. Your sphere of influence represents your unique territory for kingdom impact—relationships you build intentionally that establish Christ's presence in places that might otherwise remain untouched. Will you step up as the point person for your family's legacy and your community's transformation?

KS 418 - From Building Businesses to Building Cities: How Faithful Marketplace Christians Receive Greater Responsibiliti
Send us a text
God is looking for marketplace Christians who understand the power of partnership. Are you ready to expand your vision beyond your business?
The Parable of the Minas in Luke 19 offers profound insights that most churches rarely address. Unlike the more commonly taught Parable of the Talents, here every servant receives exactly the same amount—one mina—and something fascinating happens with those who prove faithful. Their reward isn't more money or a simple "well done." Instead, they receive authority over cities.
This spiritual principle reveals how God expands the influence of those who demonstrate faithfulness in business matters. We see the natural progression: faithful stewardship in business leads to community impact, which opens doors to city-level influence. The currency of the Kingdom isn't just financial success but expanded responsibility.
Through powerful real-world examples—from a 21-year-old hotel manager whose faithfulness earned him significant responsibility to business leaders whose community involvement saved libraries and shaped town centers—we discover that marketplace ministry extends far beyond profit margins. Your business acumen, when submitted to God's purposes, becomes a launch pad for community transformation.
Most Christian entrepreneurs think too small, focusing only on how their business can fund ministry rather than seeing their business AS ministry. When we break down the false separation between "spiritual" and "financial" realms, we position ourselves to create generational impact through our families and far-reaching influence through our communities.
Ready to stop treating your faith and business as separate silos? Want to explore how your marketplace calling might be preparing you for greater Kingdom impact? This episode challenges you to raise your vision from making "baby minas" to influencing cities. The question isn't whether God wants to use you beyond your business—it's whether you're ready to partner with Him when He does.

KS 416 - Faith on Deck: When Divine Programming Meets Life's Pressure Moments
Send us a text
Ever wondered why some Christians seem to rise above every challenge while others struggle to move forward? The difference might be simpler than you think.
Drawing from an unexpected source—a college baseball pitcher in the World Series spotlight—this episode reveals the hidden power of intentional self-talk that can transform your Christian walk. Just as that young athlete programmed himself for victory before he ever stepped onto the championship mound, we too must program our minds with God's promises before facing life's challenges.
Most believers fall into the trap of "Sunday Christianity," never taking the time to truly internalize Scripture. But what if five minutes of daily declaration could completely rewire your thought patterns? I share practical examples from Charles Capps' transformative book "God's Creative Power" that show exactly how to personalize Scripture and speak it over your life. These aren't just positive affirmations—they're powerful spiritual tools based on God's unchanging Word.
Your mind is like a garden requiring daily attention—watering, pruning, and protecting from weeds of doubt and fear. When negative thoughts inevitably arise (as they recently did for me after returning from vacation), I demonstrate the exact process I use to take those thoughts captive and replace them with truth. This isn't theory—it's battle-tested wisdom from decades of marketplace ministry.
Ready to experience breakthrough in your business, finances, and personal life? Start programming yourself for kingdom success today. And if this message resonates with you, share it with someone who needs to hear it. The transformation awaiting you is just a few declarations away.

KS 415 - The 90-Day Bible Challenge
Send us a text
A chance YouTube video about a 96-year-old pastor who had read the Bible over 1,200 times sparked my curiosity and challenge: could I read the entire Bible in just 90 days? Not only did I complete this challenge once, but I've just finished my second consecutive 90-day reading plan—essentially consuming the entire Scripture twice in six months.
This accelerated approach to Bible reading revealed something profound that my previous annual reading plans never could. Rather than examining small portions of Scripture in isolation, reading large chunks daily allowed me to step back and see God's grand narrative unfold like viewing an entire painting instead of focusing on a two-inch corner. The chronological arrangement provided crucial context, especially when moving between historical books and prophetic writings. Witnessing Paul's missionary journeys in Acts alongside his epistles brought new depth to familiar passages.
My method combined visual reading with audio input—following along in my physical Bible while listening through earbuds—which required 30-45 minutes of daily commitment. The dual-input approach helped maintain focus and improved retention. Throughout this experience, God's persistent faithfulness became unmistakably clear, even through the sometimes-depressing sections of judgment found in the prophetic books.
Despite the tremendous benefits, I'm now feeling led to slow down again. The rapid pace left little time for meditation, journaling, and allowing specific passages to deeply penetrate my heart. There's a balance to be found between seeing Scripture's grand narrative and camping out in individual chapters where the Holy Spirit can speak personally.
Have you ever read through the entire Bible? Whether you choose a 90-day sprint or a more measured pace, I challenge you to experience the fullness of God's Word in 2024. If this approach intrigues you, consider joining me in the YouVersion Bible app where chronological reading plans make this journey accessible to everyone. KS 411 - The Go-Giver Mindset: Transforming Your Business Through Giving
Send us a text
What does it truly mean to succeed as a Christian in the marketplace? Tyler McHart dives deep into this question, drawing from his 12-year journey as an entrepreneur and his transformative encounter with "The Go-Giver" philosophy.
The pivotal moment came when Tyler was about 30 years old, working in corporate sales and desperately seeking a different approach to business. A simple yet profound quote from minister Mike Murdoch changed everything: "What you make happen for another, God will make happen for you." This single idea perfectly aligned with what Tyler discovered in the book "The Go-Giver" - that by focusing on creating value for others rather than yourself, success naturally follows.
Tyler makes a compelling case that everyone engages in selling, regardless of their formal role. Whether you're a parent encouraging your child to eat vegetables or a minister sharing the gospel, you're selling ideas and choices. He shares the fascinating etymology of the word "sell," which comes from the Old English "sellan" meaning "to give" - a revelation that transforms how we understand sales entirely. The true definition of selling, Tyler explains, is "learning what people do want to do and helping them do that."

KS 410 - Mastering Your Time: The Three-Day Method
Send us a text
Stop apologizing and start winning with a revolutionary approach to entrepreneurial time management. Have you ever felt like you never truly "shut off" from your business? This exact challenge led me to discover a life-changing system that's already transforming my productivity, clarity, and peace of mind.
Drawing from Dan Sullivan's entrepreneurial coaching wisdom, I share how structuring your week around just three types of days creates magical boundaries in your life. Focus Days become your revenue-generating powerhouses—time dedicated exclusively to activities that directly impact your bottom line. Buffer Days provide crucial space for organizing, planning, and administrative tasks that prepare you for success. Perhaps most revolutionary are Free Days—complete disconnection from work to rejuvenate through family time, personal interests, and true rest.
After completing an intense track coaching season, I felt like "a big rock had been removed from my aquarium." This newfound space allowed me to reassess how I was structuring my time as both an entrepreneur and Kingdom-minded business leader. The typical entrepreneur's tendency to work late into the night after family goes to bed or constantly think about business even during supposed downtime doesn't have to be your reality.
Ready to bring intentional structure to your entrepreneurial journey? This simple yet profound system might be exactly what you need to thrive both professionally and personally. Give it a try and let me know how it transforms your approach to business and life!

KS 409 - Slow Down to Speed Up
Send us a text
Have you ever noticed that Jesus—despite carrying the most critical mission in history—was never in a hurry? This profound observation has been challenging me for years as the Holy Spirit consistently whispers: "Tyler, slow down."
In our hyper-connected world where information bombards us at unprecedented rates, we've normalized a pace of life that runs contrary to how Jesus operated. After reading "The Relentless Elimination of Hurry" by Mark Comer, I've been confronting this tension between modern expectations and divine example. What if, instead of simply trying to imitate Jesus' character, we actually adopted His lifestyle—including His deliberate, unhurried pace?
This episode explores a powerful principle I've been meditating on, borrowed from Navy SEAL tactical training: "Slow is smooth, smooth is fast." These elite warriors understand that deliberate, controlled movements under pressure lead to superior outcomes compared to rushed, panicked actions. When applied to our lives as Christian entrepreneurs and marketplace believers, this wisdom transforms our effectiveness. Moving methodically, thinking clearly, and proceeding with intention creates the space for true excellence and divine guidance.
Consider where hurry might be sabotaging your success and limiting your kingdom impact. Are your rushed decisions truly producing the results you desire? What might change if you approached your work, relationships, and spiritual practices with the controlled precision of a SEAL on mission rather than the frantic pace our culture celebrates? The answer might surprise you—and accelerate your true success in ways hurry never could.

KS 408 - Decision-Making Without Pressure: Discerning God's Direction in Business
Send us a text
Have you ever felt pressured to make an important business decision right away? That uncomfortable feeling of being rushed or pushed may actually be revealing something crucial about the source of that guidance.
The concept that "Holy Spirit is a gentleman" transforms how we approach decision-making in business and life. When faced with opportunities—even multi-million dollar ones—there's a profound difference between feeling pulled toward something and being pushed into it. This episode unpacks a powerful discernment tool I learned years ago that has saved me from countless fear-based decisions.
Drawing from Ephesians 3:20-21, we explore how God works "not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us." This gentle wooing stands in stark contrast to the high-pressure tactics we often encounter in business negotiations. When someone says, "If you don't decide now, the offer's gone," that pressure rarely aligns with God's patient, drawing nature.
For Christian entrepreneurs navigating complex business landscapes, this principle provides a reliable litmus test: if it creates anxiety rather than peace, if it demands immediate action through fear rather than confidence, it likely isn't divine guidance. Through personal stories, scripture insights, and practical application, this episode equips you to recognize the difference between the anxious push of human demands and the peaceful pull of God's direction.
