This episode focuses on Temple’s counseling team and advice on how to take care of your mental health. Dr. Andrew J. Lee currently serves as the Director of Tuttleman Counseling Services at Temple University. In this role, he serves as the Chief Mental Health Officer for the University and provides leadership and oversight over the center’s core functions of direct clinical services, educational outreach, consultation to the University community, and clinical training of graduate-level staff. Prior to Temple, he served as the Director of Counseling and Psychological Services at Monmouth University and the Director of Counseling and Disability Services at Kean University. Dr. Lee received his B.A. in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania, an M.A. in Clinical Psychology at Fairleigh Dickinson University and his Psy.M. and Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology at Rutgers University.  His clinical specialty is working with young adults who are struggling with integrating distinct worlds and multiple voices into a cohesive and satisfying personal experience as they develop into their adult selves. In this episode we explore the robust roles and services provided by the library faculty at Temple. Adam Shambaugh began working at Temple as a librarian researcher. Since beginning at Temple he has created 15 different research guides for students and faculty across 5 different topics including Sports & Recreation Management, Legal studies, and Business. Jasmine Clark started working for Temple University in 2017 as a resident librarian and now works as a Digital scholarship librarian since 2019. Jasmine earned her bachelor’s degree from Temple University in 2013 and her master’s degree in library and information science in 2016. One of the projects she currently works on is the Virtual Blockson, where she help use virtual reality to teach African history. Josue Hurtado works as a Librarian and Coordinator of Public Services and Outreach for Temple’s Special Collections Research Center in the Charles Librarian. He started working for Temple in 2013 and previously worked as an Archivist for various historic collections across the United States including Stanford and the online database, JSTOR. In this episode we discuss and highlight to Innovation & Entrepreneurship Institute and how it benefits students and faculty alike. Michelle joined Temple University full time last year as the Managing Director at the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Institute. She has been teaching at Temple for the past seven years, always in Innovation and Entrepreneurship topics, and previously ran a project at Temple helping a university in South Australia set up their entrepreneurship program. Prior to her time at Temple, Michelle started and ran the innovation function at Independence Blue Cross. She also has a consulting business and has worked with many companies thinking about how to work in new, innovative ways. Alan has been at Temple University for seven years as Assistant Professor and Director of the Temple University Entrepreneurship Academy, which is focused on facilitating incorporation of Entrepreneurial thinking and doing at the 16 non-business schools within Temple.  In this role, he has worked with the  Tyler School of Arts and Architecture to establish the successful Bachelor of Fine Arts with Entrepreneurial Studies degrees, conducts the university-wide Social Impact/Changemaker Challenge workshops and competition, as well as the Freelancing/Working for yourself program. Prior to joining Temple, Alan taught part-time at Wharton, NYU and the University of Queensland in Australia and established the Institute for Global Student Success which help international students achieve professional success in the U.S..  He started his career at Fortune 100 firms such as Procter & Gamble and Johnson & Johnson and worked in several start-ups and with private equity-owned companies.
