Integrating yoga into life!
You know how great you feel by the end of a yoga class, right? You make an intention to feel that way all the time... then life happens. You want to integrate the strength, balance, flexibility, and peacefulness into your daily life, even in the chaotic and conflicting moments (probably especially then!).
Engaging, educational, and entertaining conversations to help you be whole and integrate your yoga into your life.
Short and sweet episodes based on yoga philosophy for a modern world.
Wendy Reese is coach, author, host of The Whole Being Zone and 500 hour registered yoga teacher with 14 years of teaching experience. She is passionate about soul hacking- helping people reconnect to their whole being so they can live a life with purpose, passion, and playful goodness. Wendy considers yoga asana to be training for living whole off the mat. She infuses ancient wisdom with pragmatic woo-woo in applicable, fun, and slightly irreverent ways to optimize wholeness.

America Stories: Alba's experience

This is a total experiment and a passion project. It's called "America Stories" and is inspired by the Langston Hughes poem "Let America Be America" and the 2016 Presidential campaign theme of Donald Trump, "Make America Great Again."   These stories will be done one per month as long as people are enjoying them. So please leave your comments on the show notes page at http://wholebeinginc.com/wbz132 or wherever you found this!   Alba's experience as a Mexican immigrant is unlike the stories most told of "illegal immigrants" and yet it shares many of the same fears. Listen and draw your own conclusion about this remarkable young woman and her America story.

Can't never could.

My mama always said, "Can't never could." Can't, to me, is the "C" word and yet even I have gotten bogged down in the dreaded excuse lately. This episode is about how it is one of the five kanchukas (or excuses) in yoga that humans must experience and overcome. I'll share the 3 antidotes to overcoming kalaa. You can get the challenge here. This episode is brought to you by Audible. Get your first book free here.

The Alchemy of Yoga: a sample from the new book

This episode is sponsored by The Desire Map Journal. I love my journal. I use it as a daily person journal to keep me focused on self-care and how I really want to feel each daily. It's the "apple a day" for my body, mind, and soul...a kind of compassionate personal trainer/counselor/friend supporting me and holding me accountable for showing up fully. Get yours here. (ps- these sell out before November every year, so if you dig it, get it!) I am very excited to share this with you. Today's episode is a chapter from my new book, Alchemy of Yoga: Living yoga off the mat. For me, yoga has been training for life. Like water slowly transforming the shape of the rocks it flows over, yoga has transformed my mind, body, and soul. This book forcuses how the four key components of hatha yoga- strength, balance, flexibility, and surrender- can be deepened on the mat and applied off the mat. It also gets into the spiritual questions that often come up in yogi's, "Who am I? Why am I here (on Earth now)?" Please let me know what you think. I'd love to hear from you (I think)! Leave a comment below. Share with a friend and get a copy of the ebook here.

wbz115 layers of yoga -

Do you practice yoga? If so, this is a must listen. I didn't know about these until I'd been practicing for a REALLY long time (I won't say how long). But once I learned about them, shazam! They took my practice on the mat to a richer, deeper level and truly affected how I show up off the mat, too! Give it a listen and see how it changes your practice.
