Marie was inspired to start her business out of necessity to be mobile and her desire to create a certain lifestyle that she wanted.
Challenge:
Marie had many challenges along the way. One of them was shifting her mindset from an employee mindset to and entrepreneur mindset. There were also many limiting beliefs that also were some of her major obstacles.
Overcoming Challenges:
Utilizing lots of personal development resources, such as listening to others who are successful though their audios programs, classes, workshops, podcasts and books was a way to overcome those challenges and work on evolving her mindset to an entrepreneur mindset.
Passion:
Marie is super passionate about podcasting and using her podcast as a platform to talk about joint ventures and collaboration and spread her message to the masses. It helps strengthen the relationship to help and serve businesses by collaborating together.
Vision:
Her vision over the next few years is to impact many people by reaching out and educating and helping them understand and embrace that collaboration is a great way to build business not just for ourselves, but the great world too.
Advice:

Dr. Steve G. Jones, Ed.D. is a board certified Clinical Hypnotherapist who has been practicing hypnotherapy since the 1980s. He is the author of 25 books on such topics as hypnosis, the law of attraction and weight loss. Steve has also created over 9,000 hypnosis audio recordings and 22 different online certification programs, which are sold in over 140 countries.
Dr. Steve has been featured on Bravos Millionaire Matchmaker as both a hypnotherapist and a millionaire. Additionally, Dr. Steve has been interviewed on CNN, ABC, NBC and CBS.
Dr. Steve has a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Florida (1994), a master's degree in education (M.Ed.) from Armstrong Atlantic State University (2007), a specialist degree (Ed.S) in education (2009), a doctorate in education (Ed.D.) at Georgia Southern University (2013) and has studied psychology at Harvard University.
Inspiration:
Steve was alway interested in hypnosis when his parents brought him to a hypnotherapist as a child. Later on, his interest continued since he felt a need to contribute and give back to the world.
Challenge:
For the first twenty to twenty five years, one of Steve’s biggest challenges in his business was simply the distribution of his resources. There were only a few distribution channels that were affordable or attainable (cassette tape, general advertising, TV commercials, etc). Several market fluctuations (dips and crashes) also challenged Steve’s business from selling the quantity that was needed to succeed.
Overcoming Challenge:
The dropping stock market was used to his advantage by allowing him to reach more people who in down times turn to self-help more frequently and by reducing the price on his products with “sale” pricing, which is still a strategy he uses today.
Passion:
Steve is passionate about the work he is doing with hypnosis. He see our volatile market being yet another opportunity for his “Walmart” discount pricing method to flourish, since low market periods, while unfortunate, bring more people to “self help” study, thus increasing his business at these times.
Advice:
“Keep you eyes on the instrumentation” - You need to always be looking at your data as well as the overall picture to see where you are in business which allows you to be calm, collective and make intelligent decisions.
Personal Growth:
Steve feels like he as personally grown by having to learn to work with, and deal with people, including the most important lesson which is patience! He is a forward thinker and always moving ahead, while others may procrastinate, put things off, have a lack of taking action, etc, Steve has learned to have patience with others around him.

Overcoming Challenge:
Being an entrepreneur as well as an analytical person, he discovered a self-help program to aid in his anxiety disorder (from a late night TV infomercial) and began to see results in himself. He found the solution to be about personal mentorship, formulas and frameworks and plugging into proven systems.
Passion:
TR is super passionate about helping people, especially entrepreneurs, with the challenges of being found, being heard and being specific, which lead to being hired. To overcome these challenges, TR has employed the economical and practical use of the LinkedIn profile.
Vision:
His vision for the future is to continue teaching people to use their free linked profile to get more prospects, partners, platforms, publicity and positioning
Advice:
The best advice TR received was when he was getting back into his business after a short break with his family. A good friend and mentor told him to stake his claim with one specific niche since he was and is the LinkedIn expert for speakers, authors, coaches and service-based professionals. In order to pursue the career path she want to follow, Darla had to face a few challenges early on. Since she had decide that this was here calling, it was necessity that moved her to overcome her trust issues and fear.
Passion:
Darla is passionate about hosting small retreats, since that’s the number one way she has grown her business. To her, live retreats are the best was to connect and get to know her clients well. She is passionate about this journey to help other people create and have transformed life experiences.

Also, time management was also a huge stumbling block for him.
Overcoming Challenge:
Tiamo found that working with mentors and being involve in mastermind groups made a world of difference. Being around these people and gathering their input and guidance carried him along on his success trail.
Passion:
Tiamo has the vision for the messengers to get their messages out to the world.
Vision:
He wants to get out to one million people and them touched and transformed by his message.
Advice:
The best advice he has received is doing what scares him the most. Each time he breaks through those fears, he becomes a better person and is able to serve his audience in a much deeper way.

He hires interns to be a part of his team. He pays them with the programs and trainings he offers. He also ends his working day by checking email then, instead of first thing in the morning, in order to be the best creative an productive person he can be. He also blocks his time each day to segment his work and his tasks. He also tasks someone on his team to check his emails, so Tiamo can focus more on his tasks.

Passion:
He’s passionate about serving people and figuring out ways to improve the world. He wants to leave this world a better place for the next generation.
Advice:
He has received a lot of great advice, but one piece of great advice is from a book called The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz and it says, “Always do your best.”
Vision:
Vernon has a future vision to build a retreat center, probably in a different country, but a place where people can go to relax, recharge and heal from the everyday parts of life that bring us down.
Personal Growth:
Vernon attributes his personal growth to doing a lot of reading in personal and financial growth book, but he has found that incorporating the physical practice of yoga to create a balance in both his business and personal life.

Trying to infuse her work with what she really does was one of Therese’s obstacles. It took her many years to own up to who she was and to be able to tell people what she did. Therese was also challenged by money, both managing it and having a proper relationship with it.
Passion:
She is very passionate about incorporating her therapy background and coaching as a business healer which is helping her client’s business by “healing” them personally.
Vision:
Therese sees herself getting more involved in the business world. She wants to do more live events, business retreats along the beach in some wonderful destinations, and speaking as she spreads her message to the masses.
Advice:
She received many pieces of great advice, but there are a few that stuck out to her. Early on, she tried to do too much and someone told her she just needed to get help in he business, since she was spending so much time in her business itself. She also was told that she needed to fill herself up with love or needs to take care of herself, was so important.
Personal Growth:
Therese feels like a different person now, since signing up to be a coach, getting a divorce and living her life to the fullest. Now she feels like s fearless, kick-butt leader who wants to accept the challenges that lies ahead.

Some of the best advice she uses is from books she has read. In one book, this quote stood out to her. It said, “…Your income can only grow to the extent that you do.” Additionally, she follows the quote, “be slow to hire and quick to fire” as it pertains to building a team for your business.

Passion:
Tommi is so excited to be currently expanding her company by training new business coaches with "live and local" resources in local areas and having them in their own community.
Vison:
Tommi would love to see entrepreneurship and small business training early in life with our younger members of society, in college and universities, so they have the knowledge to be able to grow a business the right way. It's her vision to get this plan out to the masses all over.
Advice:
Whenever you are going to create another breakthrough for your business, first, you need to let go of something and then sharpen your focus on something else.

Looking Back:
She would tell her younger self to stop playing so safe and take more risks. At the end of your life, there should be no taste of regret. The taste of regret is far more bitter than the taste of courage.
Personal Growth:
All her personal lessons have come through her business, but she believes the biggest lesson she has learned from her business personally was humility. Additionally, she learned that you need patience to build the engine correctly, since it takes time. Also you need to optimize (and correct) your product to refine it to something great. Lastly, you need to preserve and keep on pushing through to get to your goal.

Ep 48: Donna Kozik
Donna Kozik grew up on a 200-acre dairy farm in northwestern Pennsylvania and now lives near the freeways and beaches of San Diego, where she shows coaches, entrepreneurs and others how to become published authors the "fast and easy way."
In fact, she has set a personal goal of turning 1000 people into published authors in the next 12 months.
Her system for doing this is live and virtual "Write a Book in a Weekend" events, featuring Donna's "fill-in-the-pages" book templates plus a weekend of live audio and recorded video messages that motivate and inspire soon-to-authors to complete their books in 2 days.
She is former newspaper editor and senior communications specialist, a two-time award winning book author who has been featured in Woman's Day and Women's World magazines, The LA Times and The Baltimore Sun newspapers, NPRs Marketplace news magazine and the NBC Nightly News. She's also been a paid national media spokesperson for Sprint PCS and has been featured in several other books including ones by Bob Bly and MarketingProfs, along with Don't Sweat the Small Stuff--and It's All Small Stuff Stories.
Inspiration:
Donna got inspired when she was helping a friend write a book and he told how he was using the book as a big business card and she took that idea to teach others the same thing.
Challenge:
She had many challenges and obstacles along the way, including her motivation to start new projects while still working on existing projects. But more importantly, one of her biggest challenges was the fear to ask for help and support, especially when she needed her projects promoted by others.
Overcoming Challenges:
She overcame he challenges but using some emotional freedom techniques with a profession so she could approach others and connect with them easier.
Lessons:
She has learned that everyone wants to help other people and that by helping and serving, success is much easier to come by.
Passion:
Donna is passionate about people sharing their message through easy to attain resources like print on demand and e-readers like Kindle being able to reach their audiences.
Advice:
Some of the best advice she has received is just honoring yourself and going for it (and not worrying what people think) and also, done is better than perfect.
Vision:
She enjoys her write a book in a weekend programs, she plans to continue writing more kindle books and she plans to produce workshops and retreats for others to help them focus their writing needs.
Personal Growth:
Donna believes that she has gained more confidence in herself just from getting out there and doing things.
