Julie Wolvek and Kira are old pals from UMASS and now Julie is slaying the game in the big titty (NYC!) Laura Madaio is the founder and creator of “Grief Hungry” a curated space for grief suffers to share stories and recipes from their loved ones. Two years ago Laura lost her dad very suddenly and tragically. She learned first hand that grief is a non linear and complicated experience. It is all encompassing. It causes physical ailments as well as psychological ones. She learned which friends kept showing up to support her during this insufferable time. It opened her eyes to what society’s expectations are around grief and when you should be “done grieving”. Kira and Hassan went to high school together. Back then they didn't think they had much in common aside from a fiery passion for Pacsun and the band Brand New. But 15 YEARS LATER they connected on the pod and now it is clear they are kindred spirits.  Hassan floated around in many circles in High School. He searched for people who would welcome an anxious Arab kid with IBS and a fondness for dick sandwiches with open arms. He lived what he felt like was a duel identity; an average American teenager during the week and a wicked Arab kid who would fast and pray on the weekends. Then after college, a traumatic event changed the trajectory of Hassan's life. He turned to drugs and alcohol to cope and had some pretty dark years.
