So Fantastic Beasts is going to be a five-movie series… Wondering where all those movies could possibly be set and what they’re all going to be about? Look no further. We’ve got it all figured out. Every movie franchise needs a sequel set in Havana and a musical number in the streets of Barcelona.

On yet another music-themed episode of TBNL, an old friend and former guest joins us once again to discuss his recent Nobel Prize win and play a round of History’s Greatest (Musician) Monster. Yes, it’s Bob Dylan. Then, Allison prepares some pop music mad libs for Mario and Justin and they turn out some phenomenal hits like Leathery Leather and Expert PertKurt. If you can get through the grueling word choosing, the end products are absolutely worth it.

After a long, unintentional hiatus, Sturgis Podmore is back with an episode we made weeks ago! Maybe that’s why we’re treating the Patronus quiz like the newest of news… We talk about the new Pottermore feature and decide what Patronuses some random characters might cast, but not before playing a round of He Who Must Be Named. Tonight, Justin and Mario pack for the night and head to Allison’s for a sleepover. They huddle together with snacks and blankets and play classic sleepover games like MASH and FMK. But before they go to sleep, they work together to tell some scary stories… Watch out for Bojangles…

This week on TBNL, we reflect on the fact that many a panicked 7th Year is beginning their final school year at Hogwarts and contemplating what they could possibly do after graduation. We do some career counseling for some people who probably need it – although we’re not sure any of them are actually graduating at the end of this year… Before the Job Fair, we play the podcast favorite: Sturgis Podmore’s Dueling Club.

This week, we go back to school from start to finish – college, then middle school, then high school, of course. We guess some college mascots, and then give each other some pop quizzes on subjects that we hate. We graduate this episode upon completion of a food fight. Would you bring a box of unripe avocados to a food fight?

It’s the beginning of September, which means tiny new witches and wizards are boarding the Hogwarts Express at Kings Cross and heading off to school. But the years have gotten away from us and our beloved trolley lady is heading towards retirement… But only one can replace her. Will it be Allison or Justin? They settle it the only way they know how: Chopped: Trolley Edition.

On this day in history, we posted our very first episode of the (to be named later) podcast, “Edit Point.” We celebrate our 4th birthday by testing how well we’ve come to know each other in those four years and beyond. Justin, Mario, and Allison play the Newlywed Game and answer questions about each other and their friendships. Can Mario guess the color of Allison’s eyes while she’s in the very same room? Listen to find out.

This week, we found a NEW Wikia – the Harry Potter Fanon Wikia. So we decided to play a game of Two Canons and a Fanon and made each other puzzle out the difference between bizarrely obscure people and things in the real Harry Potter universe and bizarrely obscure people and things that fans have created. Before that, we play another round of our newer game, Accio Backpack.

The TBNL Olympic torch goes out this week a few days after the torch in Rio. To tie it all up, Matt hosts remotely with games that challenge our ability to chain the names of Olympic nations together in a Build-a-Title-like fashion, our wit in creating new Olympic events for the future out of a hand of Apples to Apples cards, and our positive outlook as the IOC, looking forward to the Olympic cities of the coming years. It’s the start of year 2 for Sturgis Podmore and we are wild like a Cursed Child! Justin and Allison discuss some of the fan reactions to the Cursed Child script book then come up with some sequels of their own.

This week, Allison hosts the TBNL Olympics and Matt, Justin, and Mario compete in riveting events like Synchronized Storytelling, Olympic Medalist or Nah, and Crazy Hypothetical Olympic Event Discontinuation.

Now for a special TBNL series! As we approach the beginning of the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, TBNL holds the opening ceremonies and first games of their very own. Justin hosts three events this week full of improv, riddles, giraffe neck-wrestling, and a new segment – Mart’s Martyr of the Week. This week, we sort through a pile of old, nearly illegible Daily Prophets and try to figure out what some of the most confusing headlines might have been talking about. We also introduce another new game in which we have to figure out where in the Wizarding World we’ve gotten off the train. Join us next week for Episode 50!

To celebrate the start of Season 4 of the (to be named later) Podcast, and the four of us coming together again, we pay our respects to the number itself: 4! We build four new Mount Rushmores and play our very own, very different version of “Connect Four.” And of course, we finish off with a 4-themed Matt’s Matter of the Week.
