Cortesía de Aldo Dávila Esta entrevista con Aldo Dávila fue una colaboración con la Revista EntreMundos. Fue un gusto tener el apoyo de Karen Legrand en el estudio. Quien es Aldo Dávila? Aldo Dávila es un diputado del partido Winaq que es abiertamente gay. Pero él no es el primer miembro de la comunidad LGBTI+ para servir en el congreso . “Primero que nada es importantísimo mencionar que la primera diputada fue Sandra Morán. Es lesbiana verdad? Una mujer trabajadora, luchadora, y súper comprometida con la causa”, dijo Dávila. Además, Dávila habló de sus colegas en Winaq, sus prioridades en el próximo congreso, sus pensamientos en genocido, y derechos humanos. “Cuando hablamos de derechos humanos deberían de ser para todos y todas, pero vemos que son privilegios… Derechos y privilegios …Te hablo desde el privilegio desgraciadamente porque tengo una mamá que lo acepto cuando yo se lo dije a mis hermanos lo aceptaron. Conté con el apoyo de ellos. Vivo en la ciudad capital. Ese es un privilegio. Soy un hombre gay. Es otro privilegio. No soy una mujer lesbiana porque eso es a una carga más fuerte una carga de estigma discriminación enorme. Lo que yo le pido a los jóvenes es estudie. Sean valientes. Traten por todos los medios de ser felices. Traten por todos los medios posibles y honestos de alcanzar sus metas. No vivan en el clóset porque ese no es lugar para que nosotros vivamos.
