Spider-Man: A Perspective Review Series
He’s one of the most beloved characters in comics. Since 1963, we’ve loved Spider-Man. Whether it be because he’s “just like us with ordinary personal and familial problems, or just because he can stick to walls and spin webs, ol’ webhead makes us all weak in the knees when it comes to nostalgia.
Another feature film iteration arrives, this time, courtesy of the juggernaut (ha) Marvel Comics Universe (MCU) which offers a familiar but clearly different flavor for all movie-goers – fanboys or not. The fact is though – this is not your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man’s first rodeo. There have been other iterations that provide LOTS of perspective, value and laughs that The 2GuysTalking Podcast Network has been proud to collect, showcase and share with audiences worldwide. Below are the links to all of our programs available as well as links to ones we haven’t ye– well – that we have no real interest to get to. Are YOU a fan of the Perspective Reviews we’ve missed so far? Be sure to tell us all about what you think, and with your interest, we’ll consider putting the rest of the Spider-Man cinematic rabble into the Perspective Review crosshairs. Enjoy the programs provided below and be sure to tell us what you think!

WhatCopsWatch: Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2013): A Perspective Review
The stripes of red, white and blue conjure images of all kinds – depending on who you are, where you live but more importantly – what kind of comic books you read. The Marvel Comic Universe has become a behemoth, that has so many tendrils, tentacles and details – well, if you stop paying attention for just a brief series of days, you may just be lost in detail oblivion. We now live in a world where television series tie into movies, movies tie to Internet and Blu-ray shorts, and back again to the smaller HD screen – REGULARLY. Captain America: The Winter Solder does this – with definitive skill, with brazen courage, much like that of Cap diving out of the back of a cargo lifter with no parachute. The Action. The Storytelling. The Character Engagement. The World Building. It’s all here inside the second offering of everyone’s favorite thought to be dead but isn’t Super Soldier, Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Was this movie as good as the first? Is it a fitting piece into the mosaic that is the MCU? Strap on your helmet, pull on your red gloves, don your vibranium shield via the magnetic clasps because it’s time for the 2GuysTalking Perspective Review of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, here on the 2GuysSTalking Podcast Network.

Green Gab: Resource Efficiency – Regional Materials
Shopping and buying locally or regionally supports our local community and region, and applies for materials and products for our home. While helping your neighbors in your community and region thrive in business, this practice also contributes to a home being green or greener. Regional influence and the community’s influence really does make a difference, and it’s not just for relationships, it’s for everything!
A little research helps find local and regional options for the materials and items that make up our homes and what goes in them. With the ease and convenience of modern transportation and distribution, we can buy and use materials from just about anywhere, yet we often don’t think about the impact of those materials. Local and regional materials and items often offer the benefit of reduced time to transport and lower transportation costs, not to mention a local or regional flare.

Transformers: A Perspective Review Series
We can all remember the days of television-based leader called “Optimus Prime”. The unmitigated fear instilled by the vocal tones of a transforming pistol called ‘Megatron”. There was a lot to love back in the early 80’s when The Transformers weren’t only on screens worldwide, but in our toy boxes, imaginations, sketchbooks and more. Michael Bay made millions of grown-up geek dreamers wake up to a world where there ARE “giant transforming robots”, saving human lives, the Earth and thereby the universe. Did they succeed? Did they suck? It’s an AWESOME adventure, that 2GuysTalking is proud to welcome you on as you take a trip from the original animated Transformers film, into the silver-screen-based, effects extravaganzas that we know you saw. Another feature film is on the way and one thing is clear: Autobot and Decepticon fans – TRANSFORM – and Roll Out as you listen to The Transformers Perspective Review Series on The 2GuysTlaking Podcast Network.

Green Gab: Total Cost of Ownership of a Home
When buying or renting a home, the way we look at the associated costs may be misleading. Rarely are all of the expenses of buying or renting AND operating a home taken into consideration. This total cost of ownership is what really should be considered and Kerry Langley with Project TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) has a tool to change that.
Project TCO is a program to help get a more accurate picture of what the true costs of a home will be, especially when building or buying a home. Typically, mortgage associated expenses are where most of the effort is spent – interest, closing costs and fees, insurance. Rarely included in the buying process are the rest of the expenses of owning and operating a home – utilities (natural gas, electricity, water, sewer, trash, communications/cable), maintenance and repairs. It is this total cost of owning a home that truly allows buyers to compare the costs of homes.

Independence Day (1996) – A Perspective Review
Have aliens visited Earth? This question has always been an intriguing one. From the first “contact” we may have had in 1947, the the various incidents reporting inside of The Air Force’s “Project Blue Book” to any one of hundreds of documentaries you can find streaming online today – the question “have we been visited” is alive and well. In 1996, Hollywood, and the makers of “STARGATE” gave us a very special feature film that allowed us to dig even further into that question.
It was called “Independence Day” and it was glorious. From the bursting-at-the-seams casting to the ground-breaking and still delightful special effects to impeccably placed humor, we haven’t really been given something as special as Independence Day in a long time. It’s time for you to check out what 2GuysTalking thought of a truly “close encounter” that all of us had, and still remember here on The 2GuysTalking Podcast Network as we dig into The Perspective Review of “Independence Day, 1996, directed by Roland Emmerich.
