Then she discusses how businesses like Amazon, Bookshop.org, libraries, and bookstores impact how tsundoku manifests in her life. Reflecting on her case of tsundoku, Lindsay highlights her experiences with reading (or trying to read) Emergent Strategy by adrienne maree brown, A Radical Awakening by Dr. Shefali, Mixed Plate by Jo Koy, and A Burst of Light and Other Essays by Audre Lorde. Next she opines how books are like ice cream. Lastly, she shares how books played into her vacation at Hotel Vermont.

In these times, many people are dancing alone. Lindsay shares her journey from going out and dancing with friends to dancing on her own at home. She also revisits the evolution of the blog and podcast for Unfiltered Snapshot, including diverse women's perspectives on her podcast, and how the she-cession has impacted the people around her. 

Since the holiday season, there has been a new wave of people contracting COVID-19. In the time of Omicron, Lindsay is sharing how her friends and their families are managing with their exposures to the virus, how the pandemic is causing staff shortages in hospitals, and how local governments and business are responding to the uptick in cases. She also discusses how the pandemic has provided her with a new appreciation for the prayer time that was integral to her faith-based education. As the current wave of the virus continues, Lindsay contemplates the power of giving less space to certain people and things in her life.

This Monday will be Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Lindsay reflects on how she has seen MLK Day being acknowledged in her current life, in her binge watching of TV shows, and in the early years of her career with two AmeriCorps programs. Join her as she ponders the larger meaning behind acts of service intended to honor him. 

Yesterday was Greater Boston's first major snowstorm of the year. Lindsay recounts how the snowstorm canceled her plans, why snow cleanup in Boston is not that good, how playing in the snow is different as a kid versus as an adult, and what her major rule is for a fun snow day.    

Today is the one-year anniversary of the January 6 attack on the United States Capitol. Lindsay remembers what that infamous day was like for her and how it compares to her memories of 9/11. She also discusses a recent visit to the hospital pharmacy during Omicron as well as the weird turns her social life has taken in the past couple years.
