Star Wars: Squadrons is a 2020 space combat “sim” from EA Motive. Do you want to feel like you’re actually flying an X-Wing or TIE Fighter? Well, look elsewhere because this game ain’t it. Squadrons had a lot of promise but BOY does it fail in the execution. We did not have a very good time with this one, and we sure don’t recommend it. Unless, you know, you want an example of what NOT to do.

Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice is a 2017 action-adventure game developed and published by British video game development studio Ninja Theory. It’s a pretty linear game with surprisingly nuanced combat, and a great story (and performance!) about the lengths someone will go to save the soul of their lost love. We recommend it!

The Forgotten City (2021) is Groundhog Day: The Movie: The Game. Except it’s in an ancient Roman city lost to time. Also there’s a curse on the town that you have to break. And golden statues that whisper to you. Based on a Skyrim mod of the same name, it’s one of the better time loop games out there and racked up a bunch of accolades from outlets all across the industry. We recommend it!
