Episode 10: “The Bicameral Mind” REVIEW
Episode in
Westworld Cast
Ladies and Gentlemen, we have officially reached the center of the maze!
The season finale of Westworld packed quite a punch, giving viewers the narrative equivalent of whiplash as we tried to keep up with the twists and turns of this climactic loop. Arnold’s tragic demise, Ford’s final vengeful story and the Man in Black’s true identity were all expertly revealed by Nolan and Joy in the last few precious moments of the season. But there are still so many questions left unanswered. What will happen to Dolores and the rebel hosts? Will the Man in Black survive the assault on Escalante? What the heck happened to Elsie and Stubbs?
Join Lee, Caleb and Josh as they debate Ford’s true motives over the past 35 years, theorize about where Season 2 of Westworld will take us, and praise the incredible narrative loop we’ve traveled over the past 10 episodes.
Thanks for hanging with us listeners! See you next year!!

Episode 9: “The Well-Tempered Clavier” REVIEW
Episode in
Westworld Cast
The penultimate episode of Westworld, perhaps more than any other in the series, demands the audience examine the inherent morality (or immorality) of human-created consciousness. Bernard, for all his programming genius and well-tempered human understanding, can’t escape the cognitive chains of his jailer, and despite his best efforts, falls victim to the heartless suppression of his maker. But with Maeve working to orchestrate her exodus from the park and Dolores and the Man in Black growing ever closer to the center of the maze, we must ask ourselves:
WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN IN THE FINALE?
Join Lee, Caleb and Josh as they endlessly praise the phenomenal acting in this episode, consider whether or not the MIB=William theory has been definitely proven, and lament the death of television’s most sympathetic (and certainly most life-like) android.

Episode 8: “Trace Decay” REVIEW
Episode in
Westworld Cast
Episode 8 of Westworld deepens the philosophical and ethical questions at the center of this narrative. If true pain and suffering are the metrics by which we judge humanity, what does that mean for Bernard, Maeve, Dolores and the hundred of other hosts within the park? If their pain is the result of programming rather than happenstance, does that diminish the validity of what they feel? Does it make them any less human?
Or are we the ones who lack humanity, as we deny them the empathy they so desperately need?
Join Lee, Caleb and Josh as they consider the ethical implications of Bernard’s existence, praise Maeve’s newly found administrative privileges, and analyze the Man in Black’s heartbreaking bWETWackstory.

Episode 7: “Tromp L’Oeil” REVIEW
Episode in
Westworld Cast
What door?
Episode 7 of Westworld is all about illusions: William throws off his real-world obligations and relinquishes his heart to the illusion of the park, Maeve’s illusion that her creators are more gods than men shatters as Clementine is decommissioned, and Bernard discovers that he, himself, is an illusion.
Join Lee, Caleb and Josh as they praise Westworld’s first major twist, theorize about what lies ahead for Maeve, and try to figure out Ford’s next move in his god-like struggle for power.

Episode 6: “The Adversary” REVIEW
Episode in
Westworld Cast
In Episode 6 of Westworld, Maeve walks through the halls of Host heaven (or hell), learns the seemingly trivial difference between herself and the Guests, and blackmails her way to god-level Bulk Apperception. The question now, among a dozen others, is whether this transformation will make her a savior of Hosts or the scourge of Humanity.
Perhaps you can’t be one without being the other.
Join Lee and Caleb as they discuss Elsie’s shocking discovery, Ford’s creepy family reunion and Sizemore’s epic public meltdown.

Episode 5: “Contrapasso” REVIEW
Episode in
Westworld Cast
In Episode 5 of Westworld, William and Logan take viewers a few steps father towards the edge of the park and the depravity that awaits us there. As the citizens of Pariah engage in carnal pleasures, a greater resolve blooms within Dolores, giving her the strength (or consciousness) to step outside the “damsel in distress” loop and into her gunslinging destiny. But perhaps the most intriguing aspect of “Contrapasso” is the mounting evidence to support the theory that the timeline of Westworld might be MUCH more complicated than it appears, with Dr. Robert Ford and the mysterious Man in Black at the center of the narrative maze.
Join Lee and Josh as they praise the performances in this episode, marvel at Maeve’s miraculous subterfuge, and struggle to make sense of the multiple timeline theory that seems to be taking hold of Westworld.
Get well soon, Caleb!!

Episode 4: “Dissonance Theory” REVIEW
Episode in
Westworld Cast
As Episode 4 of Westworld opens, viewers are greeted with a familiar scene: Bernard talking to Dolores, probing for insight into the potential consciousness emerging from within her. Offered the opportunity for freedom and self-discovery, Dolores sets out on a quest for the Maze with William at her side, all-the while struggling to understand the change she’s going through. But with the Man in Black also searching for the Maze and Dr. Ford on the verge of launching a new Wyatt-centered storyline, one must wonder if Dolores and William are destined to find the center of Arnold’s Maze, or if utter disaster waits within its walls.
Join Lee, Caleb and Josh as they discuss Maeve’s unnerving discovery, theorize about the possible connection between William and the Man in Black, and marvel at what may lie in wait at the center of the Maze.

Episode 3: “The Stray” REVIEW
Episode in
Westworld Cast
Sure enough. Episode 3 of Westworld continues the trend of deepening the mystery surrounding the park’s Hosts while simultaneously laying the groundwork for the deep and rich history of the park itself. Who is Wyatt and how is his fiction rooted in Dr. Ford’s truth? Is Bernard the man he seems to be, or is he just another host with a man-made backstory given to him by his creator? And perhaps the most pressing question of all: what will happen to Delores now that she has veered off of her pre-destined narrative loop?
Join Lee, Caleb and Josh as they discuss Bernard’s true motivations, scratch their heads at the logistics of combat in Westworld, and theorize about the future of this week’s title character, “The Stray.”

Episode 2: “Chestnut” REVIEW
Episode in
Westworld Cast
The second installment of the Westworld saga asks a simple question: why do people come to this park? Lee Sizemore, the “show runner,” would say it’s to discover the character that lies in wait within each of us. Logan, the dark hat newcomer who accompanies white-hat William, would argue it’s to discover who you really are. Dr. Robert Ford, masterfully portrayed by Sir Anthony Hopkins, says its to discover who you can become. And finally the Man in Black tells Lawrence, his most recent victim in his quest for the maze, that he keeps coming back because of all the secrets – because everything in Westworld means something, while the outside world is full of chaos. Regardless of WHY people come to Westworld, its becoming more and more clear with each passing narrative loop, the illusion will only hold for so long, before Delores brings it crashing to the ground.
Join Lee and Caleb, as we discuss the true purpose of Westworld, marvel at Maeve’s matrix-esque journey into the dark underbelly of the park, and consider the implications of William’s orientation-less introduction to this world of electric sheep.

Episode 1: “The Original” REVIEW
Episode in
Westworld Cast
The premiere episode of Westworld was truly a sight to behold. Sweeping landscapes, beautiful androids and brutal violence wove together to form an an intriguing tapestry of must-see TV. We learned a great deal about this high tech kill cage and the hosts within, but also about its technicians, financiers and creator. Delores (not just a beautiful southern bell) and Teddy (not just a chivalrous newcomer) were reunited and torn apart several times over as Bernard and Dr. Ford tried to determine the root cause of the recent string of malfunctions. As tensions rise both within and without the park, viewers must ask: who are the real monsters here?
Join Lee and Caleb as they discuss the cyclical life of the hosts, debate the moral conflict at the center of this narrative, and rave about the multitude of compelling questions surrounding Westworld.
It’s good to be back!
