So part of the point of this podcast, is to reveal what psychological challenges other musicians in the industry, are dealing with, or have dealt with. And in some cases there’s seems to be a strong relationship between an artists psychological state and their creative output. But, really I’m just curious to connect with, and chat with other musos that have a bit of the old black dog, or any other mental struggles. It makes me feel less alone. So it’s a bit selfish endeavour in that sense, I guess.

So as you can probably tell, anxiety’s been something that’s been a big deal for my for most of my life, including all my time working, recording and touring as a professional lead guitarist in my band Shihad. And in recent years, I’ve become a big fan of podcasts, and podcasts that provide relief and speak to those with, anxiety, depression and panic disorders.
e.g https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/the-anxiety-coaches-podcast/id908153168
So part of the point of this podcast, is to reveal what psychological challenges other musicians in the industry, are dealing with, or have dealt with. Because in some cases there’s seems to be a strong relationship between an artists psychological state, and their unbridled or obsessive creativity. And I want to investigate that connection. And also, ultimately, I would like this to be a forum in which my guests, myself and the listener, can chat about being a little bit crazy at times. Because it’s ok. It’s more common than you think. So let me know your thoughts.

In some cases there’s seems to be a relationship between an artists psychological state and their unbridled or obsessive creativity, and I want to explore that connection. Also, I want this to be a therapeutic forum in which my guests, myself, and the listener, can talk openly, about being bat shit crazy, have a bit of a cry, a bit of a giggle, and then hopefully feel better about it all, at the end of the day.

Pop y Muerte
STAY WEIRD. Updated
