Historical empathy and how hard it is – people seem to really love the monarchy. and the invisibility of the now 12 year old Third World War. Corrections: Lord Harris was the secretary of the MCC at this time, he was only president once in 1895. Lord Hawk was the president during the war, and was succeeded by Henry Foster in 1919.
