Matthew 5.1 And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him:   2 And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying, Matthew Henry (18 October 1662 – 22 June 1714) was a nonconformist minister and author, born in Wales but spending much of his life in England. He is best known for the six-volume biblical commentary Exposition of the Old and New Testaments. By the age of nine, Henry was able to write Latin and read part of the Greek new testament. Henry was ordained on May 9th 1687 by a group of six nonconformist ministers. He presented a paper written in Latin as part of his ordination. He then became minister of a new Presbyterian congregation at Chester. Famous evangelical Protestant preachers such as George Whitefield and Charles Spurgeon used and heartily commended the work, with Whitefield reading it through four times – the last time on his knees.[14] Spurgeon stated, "Every minister ought to read it entirely and carefully through once at least."[17] John Wesley, who himself published an abbreviated edition of the Commentary.      

The Happy Joyous man is a person that follows the procedure found in Psalm 1.1-3 and John 3.16 therefore is a believer in Jesus Christ.   Happiness is the results of a life that one experiences external, around them.Joyfulness is an emotional experience that is experienced inside oneself.By meditating and studying the law of God strictly as prescribed in Psalm 1 you will experience a very fruitful life here on earth and be very happy. This is available to anyone (atheist, agnostic, Muslim,Jew, Confuscious, Buddhist, JW etc)To experience a happy and joyous life a man must prescribe to Psalm 1 and John 3.16You must be born again John 3.3-5, 16Then the ability to experience a joyful life is possible as explained in John 15Let’s read and make some some comments on the verses in John 15 asJesus explains joyful living.

The Simply Happy Man!   Are you happy? What makes you happy? Being with family, going on a vacation, going to church, your job drugs, drinking, partying, going to a New Orleans saints game?   Psalm 1 tells us how in a plain manner, how anyone can be happy almost all the time. This Happiness is available to the believer and unbeliever in Christ. You don’t have to be born again to be Biblically happy. You simply subscribe to the method the scriptures teach. Simply you meditate on the word of God.  

John 10.3 When I have sadly misunderstood Him? (John 20.11-18) (Luke 8.2) When I have stubbornly doubted?(John20.24-29) When I have selfishly denied Him?(John 21.15-17) (Matt.26.69-75 Do I have a personal history with Jesus Christ? The one true sign of discipleship is intimate oneness with Him— a knowledge of Jesus that nothing can shake.

Prayer Journal what is a prayer journal?  Written Record of the Father speaking to you spiritually, not your thoughts to the Father How do I write a prayer journal? Get a notebook, write daily what the Father says to you while you read the scripture. When do I write? Daily at quiet time while reading scriptures. How do I know when the Father is speaking to you? By doing the journal for 21 days straight you will develop the spiritual ear. You will become sensitive to his voice, like when someone familiar to you calls. The Father’s voice will never be contrary to His Word.     John3.16  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.      1 John 4.1-Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.2Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: Matt 22.36-40  36Master, which is the great commandment in the law? 37Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.  What part of the scriptures to read at quiet time     1 John, Psalms or Proverbs What about thoughts that are not from the Father     write them down to exhaust them from thinking about them. Primarily Prayers are not to answer your request.  Prayer is to line you with God’s will for your life. Don’t be afraid of His will. It is the best life you can experience. Learning to realize His will is the best, not the good or better. Matt. 7.9-11     9 Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?  10 Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?  11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to  them that ask him? .  DOUBT? Try asking God’s will on some small matter and experience the best for you and develop your faith in prayer for God’s will. The Father knows what you want to begin with. Then why Pray. Matt. 6.7-8  7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.  8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him. Prayer is to align us with God’s will. God’s will is the BEST life for us. Doubt? Experiment on a simple matter of faith. Driving to work    

John 1:11  He came unto his own, and his own received him not. Joh 1:12  But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:   There is alot of football on tv now and a good receiver will catch the football no matter what. A receiver’s goal is to find the laces on the ball as it is thrown to you.  Great focus is the ability to block out all distractions and have single-minded concentration on the football.  It’s the ability to block out the crowd, the defenders, and the elements in order to keep all the focus on the football to make the play. Great focus is the ability to know that you are going to be hit but still keep your critical attention on the ball. Ohio football training for wide receivers teaches wide receivers to focuses on the front white stripe of the ball. Joh 1:5  And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. Joh 3:19  And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. Joh 3:20  For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. Joh 3:21  But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

This article was in a local newspaper and is a good exercise in detecting arrogancy.  Pro 8:13  The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.

The Word always was face to face with God and the Word always was, as to His person, God.”    The way that God communicates to man is through the second person of the Godhead the Word. This person stepped out of eternity and into time,choosing to be born in a manger. The mind of God that is always with him and always was him became a reality to man in the flesh, born in a manger.   Who was it that was born in Bethlehem?   Here is the one that is always face to face with God the One who brings into reality the mind of God, the Word. The word became flesh. God in reality. Gods’ thoughts His mind became realty to man.   Joh 1:14  And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.   The word is the reality of thought.   Merry Christmas
