Rouge One: A Trek Wars Story
Episode in
Words With Nerds
Long ago in a town of 15,000 people, one nerd decided to ruin someone’s day; it was glorious.. But it wasn’t ruined like most nerds try as hard as they can to ruin everything. This week John and Craig explore the internet ire from message boards of the days of yore versus twitter, and ask who’s more angry Star Wars or Star Trek fans. They discuss that “Phantom Menace Moment”, having to wait a week to watch a show, and how to get your show on the air that has been cancelled. John is also able to do math and figures out 10 percent of a box office drop off is a lot of money
The dynamic duo also break down some nerd news, and give reviews of what they saw this week. One of the hosts even gives an Apocalyptic review and tests the limits of his own hypocrisy.

Superman Blew Up On My Face
Episode in
Words With Nerds
Batman. Superman. Wonder Woman. And now, the greatest hero of all time joins them: Versus. What were our thoughts of Versus and what it accomplished in two-and-a-half hours?
There was so much to unpack that Craig and John brought in Shawn “Dorman” to look at Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice from every angle possible. Not content with analyzing the movie alone, they also look at:
Chelada Tallboys as punishment for crimes old and new.
The positives they found in a movie they didn’t like
Technical choices that impacted the final product
Tonal decisions
DC/WB are in the same wilderness Marvel was until recently, and how it affects reception
What could change their opinions
But most importantly, they learned not to look a gift can right in the face.

Happy Nerd Year!
Episode in
Words With Nerds
Craig and John ring in 2016 in style!
They discuss the rigidity of audiences’ ideologies when it comes to movies, and talk about whether they’re letting it get in the way of their enjoyment.
They break down everything that sounds even more awful about the new Ghostbusters plot synopsis that leaked, then offer suggestions for how to fix it.
They look at 2016’s slate of films and what they expect from it, with special attention on the X-Men and Dawn of Justice.
Finally, John ushers in the first Nerd Rage of the year with something that’s part Hulk Out, part Aneurysm, and part bleeping nightmare. (It’s a really good one.) So let’s ring in this new year and party like it’s a nightmarish dystopia directed by Kathryn Bigelow!
