WTF Sunderland Podcast

Another weekend, another defeat. Is it time to get concerned? Four points from our first six games is grim reading, and Sunderland are definitely at the wrong end of the table early on. What's going wrong? How do we fix it? Where is Talbi? Why is Xhaka playing like Max Power? Kyle, Pete and Soph cut the fat on a really poor home display at the Stadium of Light. Sunderland are back! After a lengthy three week international break, RLB's men return to the Stadium of Light for a mammoth old clash against in-form Brighton. Third in the league and off the back a 3-0 thumping again Arsenal, just why is it going so well with the Seagulls so far, and how do we knock them off their perch? To let us know, Ross Black is joined by Joe from the Albion Obsessed Podcast. ORDER 'WE WERE WEARSIDE' HERE. Enjoyed the episode? Sunderland are almost back, with the end of the international break now firmly on the horizon. But we still have room for one more special episode with Sunderland's longest running podcast Wise Men Say. Bizarrely the first time we've ever appeared together on this channel, Graham and Kyle are joined by Stephen Goldsmith to discuss Brobbey and Ballard's hamstring injuries, WMS' podcast origins and a testing month ahead as Sunderland's look to pick up points in the Premier League and the Europa League. Yes, it's one of those shameless promotional episodes. But WE ARE WEARSIDE is OUT NOW. The new book by our very own Graham and Peter. Authors Graham and Peter join Alex to discuss why the decided to write the book which sees them go back to 11 men who wore the red and white and ask them to tell the stories behind the moments Sunderland supporters still talk about. The triumphs, disasters, dressing rooms, managers, transfers and extraordinary incidents that never made the back pages are remembered by the people who were actually there - and what did they learn from it all? What was it like chatting about Sunderland with heroes such as Patrick Roberts, Thomas Sorensen and Stefan Schwarz, and what were the interesting stories they have from a year's worth of talking to former SAFC players? Every chapter is also part of a bigger story. Players arrive on Wearside from different countries, cultures and backgrounds, never quite knowing what they have signed up for. Some become heroes. Some divide opinion. Some are only truly understood years later. ORDER 'WE WERE WEARSIDE' HERE. Enjoyed the episode? The Lads are back in action on Wearside as we open our home campaign with a clash against the only team to beat us twice last season in the shape of Fulham. After last week's opening day defeat, Sunderland will want to get points on the board to kick-off our new campaign, and what better way to do it then in front of the Stadium of Light crowd? But what of our weekend opponents? They also started the season with a defeat, losing 3-2 to Chelsea on Monday. Under new management, what has changed at Craven Cottage over the summer? Dave, Graham, Pete, Kyle and Ian join together to chat through a messy performance on Saturday. Enjoyed the episode?
