Season 10 Retrospective
Episode in
X-Philes Talk X-Files
Finally – much later than originally advertised – the final episode of X-Philes Talk X-Files (until season 11!) has arrived…
Join David as he answers a slew of listener questions, then is joined by Avi, Tiffany, and Garrett to discuss the revival as a whole and take part in a quiz with questions based on My Struggle, Founder’s Mutation, Mulder and Scully Meet the Were-Monster, Home Again, Babylon, and My Struggle II.
We also have a guest interview and even more besides. Yes, it’s a jam-packed final episode that is a miracle it was edited down this short.
I really hope you enjoy it. Thank you so much for listening.

My Struggle II
Episode in
X-Philes Talk X-Files
So, er, that’s all folks… Season 10 ends with an episode that a lot of fans had a lot of problems with – for a lot of very different reasons.
David tries to make some sense of the resulting mess with the help of Keva, Jessa, and Trish – the latter two of whom have spoken with Dr. Anne Simon and have relevant science to impart that could shed light on the future of The X-Files’ mythology storyline.
This is also your last chance to send in a listener question, as we will be doing one more show next week where we address the entire six episode revival, so head on over to davidtharwood.com now and hit “Contact.”

Babylon
Episode in
X-Philes Talk X-Files
Only Chris Carter could write an episode dealing with the idea of a united humanity and make it one of the most divisive hours of television ever. Fans either loved it or hated it.
Join David, Jessa, and Roi as we talk Babylon this week on X-Philes Talk X-Files.
Oh, and SPOILER alert: this episode of XPTXF contains strong language from the very beginning.

Yep, this Glen Morgan written/directed episode has something for everyone to love, right?
Listen in as David, Jessa, and Roi discuss the episode that saw us saying “hello” to the Band-Aid Nose Man, saying “goodbye” to Maggie Scully, and singing along to “Downtown” while a Lawn Gnome Suburban Lady is violently torn apart.
Ah, X-Files, we love you

And indeed it was – and is. It’s a bloody great episode – funny, charming, and filled with easter eggs for the most devout fans.
Unfortunately, not everyone loved it…

all things – Requiem
Episode in
X-Philes Talk X-Files
In May 2000, the official word was that The X-Files would end with season seven, so these final episodes of that year were – as far as everyone knew – going to be the final six episodes of the show ever.
Fortunately, that turned out not to be entirely true. Especially as one of those episodes was abhorrently bad.
David, Trish, and Laura talk Buddhist crop circles, the dancing undead, and invisible men – a.k.a. the final few episodes of the 7th season:
all things
Brand X
Hollywood A.D.
