Social media has not only become an essential tool for those considering a career in media, it also a crucial platform for the New Evangelisation. We all need to be online! In this workshop, the Xt3 team will explore the future of online evangelisation, and discuss how each one of us can make a difference through social media.

In the Gospels we find the remarkable story of who God is and just how His story is also yours. There are hidden depths to explore and so many friends who want to tell us what Jesus has meant to them, how He has changed their lives... and how he will change yours!

Bishop Robert McGuckin, Bishop of Toowoomba, addresses some of the tough questions regarding the marriage and homosexuality. Questions taken by Patrick Langrell from Notre Dame University, Sydney.

At present, according to the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare, 13% of the population is living in relative poverty. This translates to almost three million Australians, and obviously includes young people, who can be amongst the most vulnerable and excluded from society. Come to share a story, or hear a story; but you must be a part of this challenging reflection. This workshop also includes some comments from Bishop Robert McGuckin, the Bishop of Toowoomba.

Youth Mission Team (YMT) is comprised of young men and women who have deferred career or tertiary study to make a 12 month commitment to facilitate powerful and energetic programs for schools and parishes. In this workshop YMT will demonstrate how they use music, drama, fun activities, personal sharing and multi-media to share their faith with young people. Also they will outline some of the key aspects of their approach to sharing the gospel.

SEE the issues you care about, JUDGE what the Gospel calls us to do about it, and ACT to make a difference. The Young Christian Students movement (YCS) is run entirely by high school students and so is this session! Using the example of Jesus, we can together build an inclusive Australia and society of justice and peace. All are welcome (students and people that work with us) to come along and share how to be student leaders that put faith into action.

So, you’ve just made a speech, you’ve been voted in and now you’re wearing a shiny badge and standing in front of hundreds of your peers and teachers. What did you sign up for? What does this mean? Do you know enough about leadership? You’re freaking out? That’s’ okay! Thousands of young people across Australia are also doing this for the first time.
