There is a yearning inside of you for a deep and meaningful relationship with God. You love Him, but not as much as you know you could. Or should. You struggle with feelings of guilt because you know that often you’re just going through the motions rather than eagerly drinking from the well that never runs dry.You go through spurts of motivation and excitement and then crash down on feelings of discouragement, apathy, or hopelessness.I know what it’s like to feel just a little lost. A little bit stuck. Or even, just flat-out complacent.I understand that the reality of mom life and the day-to-day tasks can get in the way of all our best intentions. I also know that sometimes it’s just sheer exhaustion that keeps us from moving forward and growing in the Word of God and in our faith.God knows that motherhood is demanding. Yet He made a way for you to be a mom and have a vibrant spiritual life and connection with Him at the same time. He means for you to thrive in life, not merely get by.Let me be that voice in your ear (literally and figuratively) pushing you forward. Encouraging you. Sharing stories of healing and victories. Reminding you of His amazing love and amazing grace. And, maybe, giving you a swift kick in the pants to keep you going. My name is Helen Siemens, and in this podcast, I want to talk to you like I would to a friend over a hot cup of coffee, reminding you of the truth you already know. Stirring you up to love and good works. Cheering you on as your sister in Christ, walking with you through spiritual growth and intentional living.

48 | When You Don't Like Yourself: How to Be Fully Loved and Still Become Someone New (Pt.1)

What do you do when you don’t like who you are? When you look at your life, your choices, or your habits and feel disappointed or ashamed? Most of us try to “fix ourselves” by striving harder, proving ourselves, or chasing approval from people who will never be able to give us what our hearts truly desire. In today’s episode, we’re talking about what the Bible really says about identity, self-worth, and God’s love, and why true transformation should never start from a place of self-rejection. Whether you’re feeling stuck, ashamed, or simply longing for change, this episode will help you look honestly at where you are, and rest in the truth that God meets you with compassion, not condemnation. God Bless!

47 | The Power of Your Words: How Biblical Self-Talk Shapes Your Life as a Christian Woman

What does the Bible really teach about self-talk, mindset, and your identity in Christ? And how do you begin taking biblical steps to replace destructive thoughts with life-giving truth and speak hope over yourself and your circumstances? In today’s episode, we’re talking about the biblical power of words, why Scripture says life and death are in the tongue, and how the way you speak (even about yourself!) can either build your life or tear it down. Whether you struggle with discouragement, negative thinking, emotional overwhelm, or old patterns of self-defeating language, this conversation will help you step into godly thinking, renewed confidence, and a Christ-centered identity. God Bless!

44 | The Slow Work of Healing: Where God Meets You in the Mess

Have you ever wished you could just snap your fingers and be healed from the pain, the memories, the things that still weigh heavily on your heart? Me too. Healing can feel so slow, especially when you’ve been carrying years of hurt and struggle.   In today’s episode, we’re talking about the slow work of healing — the kind that happens one piece at a time, in the middle of what still feels messy.   Let’s talk about what it looks like to sit in the discomfort and still trust His pace, find peace in the process, and notice the quiet ways He’s already rebuilding what was broken.   God bless you!

Have you ever had an area of your life that you just don’t want to face? Maybe it’s a dream that didn’t turn out the way you hoped, a prayer that went unanswered, or a wound that still hurts too much to touch. Instead of tending to it, you’ve left it alone, like a garden you’re afraid to step into because you know the weeds have taken over. 39 | Stop Trying to Be Enough: Find Freedom in God’s Grace

Do you feel the constant pressure to measure up — as a Christian woman, a mom, a wife, or just in life? The truth is, you’ll never be “enough” on your own… and that’s actually the best news. In this episode, we talk about finding grace when you stop relying on yourself and start resting in God's sufficiency. Your worth isn’t based on performance, and God’s grace is more than enough for your every weakness. If you’ve been carrying the weight of guilt, shame, or feeling like you’re falling short, this conversation will point you back to the truth of who God is and who you are in Him. 35 | What Does It Mean to Be ‘In Alignment’ or ‘Empowered?’ A Biblical Perspective

Hey Friend! I don't doubt that, like me, you have heard these two words frequently over the past few years: Alignment and Empowerment. They sound like good words, don't they? It even feels good to say them! But in this episode I'd like to talk about what the world means when using these words and what is actually biblical. It's important for us to be discerning and differentiate meanings from a biblical perspective rather than to be led astray through crafty ideas that sound a lot like truth but are peppered with lies that lead us into ungodly living. 34 | Are You Stuck in Condemnation? God Invites You Into Grace.

Hey Friend! Are you living in a constant state of self-condemnation? Do you find yourself beating yourself up over what you said or didn't say, what you did or didn't do? Do you feel like you can never get it right, and no matter how hard you try, you just can't feel good about yourself? Living in a place of condemnation is exhausting, and it’s not the way we’re meant to live. There’s freedom in Christ, and He gives us grace! He is tender towards us. He intends for us to live with peace and rest in our hearts. I want to encourage you today with the truth of who you are and what the Word of God says about you, and I hope you believe it! God Bless! 33 | Real Security Begins with Truly Knowing God

Hey Friend! Wherever you are, right in this very moment, God can meet you there! We know that God is all we need, in the general sense, but do we understand that He is exactly what we need in each moment? He is the I AM. But I think we don't always realize what that means.  Today, I want to encourage you by going through many of the different names for God, so that you can truly see that He is what you need, no matter what you are going through. Are you running to Him? Do you lean on Him and trust Him? He is waiting. He is able. In Him, you have no lack. God Bless! Helen   Connect with me in my Facebook Group

32 | How to Step Out of Mediocrity and into Excellence with God

Hey Friend! It's not only about what you do, but also the attitude with which you do it. Are you doing everything with excellence and as unto the Lord, or are you doing the bare minimum? Do you have a bad attitude about the work you do, or towards the people closest to you? Let us keep in mind why we're here and Who we are doing all of this for. Let's move past the "bare minimum," or "Fine! I'll do it, but only because I have to" mindset and do all things heartily for our heavenly Father. He will reward us accordingly. God Bless! Helen

31 | When It’s Hard to Forgive: Truths That Lead to Healing

Hey Friend! Today's episode is really a heart to heart about the real difficulties of forgiving someone who has hurt you. It can be extremely hard when you've been hurt so very deeply. I've been there more times than I like to admit.  Hurt, and especially when there's betrayal, can leave us vulnerable and doubting ourselves in ways that feel completely crushing. Sometimes, forgiveness seems impossible. But God. He makes a way. We don't have to do it in our own strength, and He can make beauty from ashes, though it usually doesn't happen overnight. Let me share with you the things that have helped me to step out of the bondage of unforgiveness and find freedom. God Bless! Helen   Connect with me in Facebook Group
