Our dearest listeners, we apologize for the extremely long wait! Quinn and I have been busy. Jonathan and Quinn get personal yet again, this time with longtime friend Matthew,  sharing some hopefully interesting anecdotes and high jinks from times past. About our guest: Matthew and Jonathan go way back, having known each other since early elementary school. Matthew is currently enrolled in paramedic training and has recently taken up investing where he been impressively successful. Throughout the years, whenever Jonathan has taken part in some reckless or exceedingly exciting behaviour, Matthew was often close by. Jonathan and Quinn both hope to get the opportunity to talk with him again soon.

Jonathan, Quinn, and very special guest Tia, discuss the emergence of social media "activism" and how it relates to hegemonic consumerist brainwashing and surveillance. We also look at how the new generation has used their newfound ability to connect with others on a global scale.  About Tia: Tia is a fellow undergraduate student currently studying in her second year at Western University where she is majoring in the Faculty of Media and Information Studies. She is active in Hillel on campus and is a World Jewish Congress Lauder Fellow. Originally from Vancouver BC, Tia was one of the two Vancouver high school interns for StandWithUs Canada during her senior year and became a member of the CJPAC Generation Program. 

In this week's episode Jonathan and Quinn start off by discussing the possibility of a dystopian future, then the point of vegetarianism, and finally Jonathan urges Quinn to "remember death" and they explain what they want to happen to their remains after they pass into the Netherworld.

Jonathan and Quinn distract you from this time of COVID-19 social distancing and elaborate on some interesting concepts concerning "The Machines". As technology progresses, Jonathan and Quinn cannot help but ponder the future of a technological singularity, conscious AI, android empathy, and machine learning. Prior to embarking on this, they of course include some life advice, introspective quandary, and a psychological task that you can try for yourself during quarantine boredom.
