Bible Passage: Romans 3:21–26
Preacher: Ian Morrison
Date: 6th April 2025, 6 pm
After confronting us with the universal problem of sin, Paul now opens up the heart of the gospel in Romans 3:21–26—a passage many consider the very centre of the good news. In this message, Justified Freely by His Grace, Ian Morrison will help us reflect on the breathtaking truth that, though we could never earn our way to God, He has made a way for us.
Paul writes that a righteousness from God has now been revealed, apart from the law. It is not achieved by rule-keeping or human effort, but received through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. At the cross, Jesus took our place, bearing the penalty for sin so that we could be declared righteous—not guilty—by the Judge of all the earth. God remains perfectly just, and yet astonishingly, He justifies sinners.
This is grace: undeserved, unearned, and freely given. It is the foundation of Christian hope and the power that transforms lives. The gospel tells us we are worse than we ever feared, but more loved than we ever imagined—because Jesus gave Himself for us.
Join us for this profound and joy-filled passage as we stand in awe of the mercy of God and the gift of justification through the cross. Come and be reminded of the freedom, assurance, and peace that is ours when we are justified freely by His grace.
