Preacher: Steve Inman
Date: 5th January 2025, 6 pm
As we continue our series, Stories Jesus Told, Steve Inman will explore the timeless parable of The Good Samaritan from Luke 10:25-37. This story, prompted by a question about eternal life and the command to "love your neighbour as yourself," challenges us to consider who our neighbours truly are and what genuine love looks like in action.
In this powerful parable, Jesus shatters cultural barriers and self-justifying attitudes, calling us to radical compassion and selfless care for others. But this isn’t just a call to be "better people"—it's a profound picture of the gospel. Like the Samaritan who crossed boundaries to rescue the wounded man, Jesus crossed the greatest boundary of all—leaving the glory of heaven to come to our aid when we were helpless and broken by sin. Through His sacrifice on the cross, He bandages our wounds, pays the cost of our redemption, and restores us to life.
This message will encourage us to reflect on both the grace we have received and how we can extend that grace to others. Come and discover how the love of Christ not only saves us but also empowers us to love our neighbours with the same compassion and generosity He has shown us. Let’s be inspired to live out the gospel in tangible ways that reflect the heart of Jesus.
Don't miss this opportunity to dive deeper into one of Jesus' most compelling stories and its life-transforming implications.
