Laura Bell is best known on Broadway for originating the role of Elle Woods in Legally Blonde: The Musical, for which she earned a Tony nomination for Best Leading Actress in a Musical, and the role of Amber Von Tussle in Hairspray on Broadway. She has also been featured onstage as Tina Denmark in Ruthless! The Musical, Trixie Norton in The Honeymooners, Sherrie in Rock of Ages, a standby for Glinda in Wicked, The Sound of Music and Gypsy. Laura Bell most recently starred as Charity Hope Valentine in the June 2018 revival of Sweet Charity at Reprise 2.0 in Los Angeles. On television, she has been featured in Anger Management, The Adventures of Huck Finn, Jumanji, Life with Mikey, Dreamgirls, Veronica Mars and Guiding Light.
