We first met Baba and Jules back in March when they came over to play for us at one of our Glasgow parties and despite a few hiccups on our part (every bastard watching Loefah in the room one) rendering the live performance implausible they played a few hours down at the Unit afters and blew the fucking roof off.

So when we got in touch with Baba and Jules and they were keen to contribute to the podcast series we we’re already happy chaps. Despite being in the middle of a busy US tour promoting their new five track EP Get Enough out on Gold Panda’s Notown label not only did the guys manage to find time to knock this together for us, but these two have gone a cool step further, jumped into the studio and put this episode together from completely original material to take final form as Sketches Vol. II

We don’t want to say much as the music these two create is most definitely for you to form your own ideas and thoughts around. Baba and Jules are preachers of the doctrine of Yarchism “a belief, state of mind, or action of an individual that promotes the freedom of self-expression without restraint or hesitation caused by the socially-constructed norms of society” and such ideas, they say are explored through the music they make and share with us lucky souls.
