The profound effect of operating with a growth mindset with Dr Eve Grodnitzky

Dr Eve Grodnitzky is a psychologist, author, keynote speaker with a Ph.D. in Social Psychology. Eve and works with big Fortune 500 companies on leadership development, performance management, with much of Eve’s work today focussing on the development of a “Growth Mindset.” This work is a  build upon the original research done by fellow psychologist Carol Dweck. When people ask Eve what she does, how does Eve like to reply? What’s a mindset? Can you be fixed in one part of your life and growth in another? Is there a connection between character and mindset? The Real World or the realist, what’s that place like? Do some people used fixed as an excuse not to have a go? Do people impose the fixed mindset on themselves with the imposter syndrome? Can hard work move fixed to growth? Is fixed bad… can it be useful and helpful? How do you qualify a fixed vs growth in yourself or others? So the boss has a fixed mindset and you have a growth mindset how would we approach that situation? What if our partner has a fixed and you have a growth mindset how would we approach that? Does genetics play a part in our mindset? Do parents have an influence on the mindset a child adopts? Can parental praise actually be a negative for children? it’s been said that telling kids they are smart can move them towards a fixed mindset? How does a person with a growth mindset process a failure or disappointment? Have we taken a Mindset where we are fearful of experimentation and exploration? Are we too scared to fail? What’s the internal dialogue for Eve when handling things when they don't go your way or having great success? Fixed mindsets must be a real issue in politics where doing the right thing gets pushed aside by just being right.
